Derek Harvey was a man who saw things coming. He had warned of Al Qaeda when most chose to ignore it. He had seen the Sunni insurgency rising when most chose to deny it.
The former Army colonel had made his reputation by learning the lay of the land. In Iraq that meant sleeping on mud floors and digging into documents to figure out where the threat was coming from.
It was hard to imagine anyone better qualified to serve as President Trump’s top Middle East adviser at the National Security Council than a man who had been on the ground in Iraq and who had seen it all.
Just like in Iraq, Harvey began digging at the NSC. He came up with a list of Obama holdovers who were leaking to the press. McMaster, the new head of the NSC, refused to fire any of them.

Before Trump was elected, I formed a detrimental opinion of Mc Masters, as I felt his attitude toward Islam was; don't critisize Islam and show your prejudice and bigotry.
Mc Masters backed that up by silencing people under his command who did just that.

McMaster was a General who thrived under Obama. Nothing more need be said.

The trouble with the media is trying to separate the BS from the truth and I suppose that is the intent of the anti-Trump media. However, I am seeing more credible information on McMaster and his opposition to President Trump’s agenda and apparent subversion of that agenda. I cannot believe his fellow military Generals have not blown the whistle on him or that President Trump doesn’t see what’s going on. Either the latest reports on his activities are wrong or McMaster his friends in HIGH places giving him cover and a promise of a rich retirement. It is NOT in the military man’s DNA to defy their CINC.
Freepers are getting played by a cabal that is pissed because McMaster booted their pals off of his staff. You can see this in the timing and content of their campaign. My guess is that they were leaking to their friends and got caught.
Trump repeated his support for McMaster just yesterday. But of course you can’t trust the Prez’s judgement just because he actually knows what McM is doing for him. Much better to believe all the rumors.
Damning article. I told you all I was concerned as soon as I read he wouldn’t say “radical Islamic terrorism.” Trump should have picked Lt. Col. Tony Shaeffer - the guy who is on Lou Dobbs all the time.
I agree Sam. I have no trust in McMaster because of his current clearing out of the Trump administration of all the political realists and their distrust of Islam, anti-progressives and the enemies of globalization.
