I don’t approve of using young children or even minors for that matter, to do this sort of thing. If this were South Africa in the old days, there’d be sanctions out the kazoo.
Now that it’s African on African crimes, I guess we’re powerless to stop any of it. (B.S.)
I’ve driven a hybrid since March of 2006. It’s a little Mercury Mariner SUV. Just got back from a 1,000 plus mile trip, and averaged 30.05 MPH on the trip. On some sections I was getting 34+ MPH.
This vehicle was chosen over a Mountaineer. We had one already, and were lucky to get between 15-17 mpg with it.
I wanted a small utility vehicle that wouldn’t burn so much gas. This filled the bill.
You don’t have to be a leftist to wish to purchase less gas.
I know Rush and others love to rib Leftists about this sort of thing, and I think they’re vulnerable due to the issues of hybrids or full electric vehicles and the trade-offs that are inherent. There are issues if you’re doing this solely to rescue the environment.
This is the most fun vehicle I’ve owned and I’d recommend it to anyone, if they were still made.
I purchased the seven year or 70,000 mile maintenance package. I’ve not paid for any service other than the regular scheduled service visits in the 11.5 years I’ve owned the vehicle. For the first seven years, those didn’t cost me anything either.
I’m not getting rid of my vehicle, or refusing to buy another because crimes are being committed. Put an end to the crimes folks.
And if putting an end to the crimes being committed puts the electric car companies out of business...?
You drive slow. ;<}
“You dont have to be a leftist to wish to purchase less gas.”
So, instead, you purchase a more expensive electric vehicle because spending money on electric stuff somehow costs less than spending the same money on gas?
“Im not getting rid of my vehicle, or refusing to buy another because crimes are being committed. Put an end to the crimes folks.”
This.
I don’t know why EVs are so viscerally hated by so many on the right - apparently the only motivation for the vitriol is that the left expresses an interest therein. That’s a pretty stupid reason.
I drove an EV for 2 years. Great little car, cheap to run, great performance.
We should be _promoting_ such progress. Moving on past century-old technology to something high-tech is laudable, though not perfect & instant.
Taxpayers helped you buy that vehicle and it wasn’t voluntarily.
