I know quite a few patriots who are physically or mentally not qualified to serve in our military, including close relatives. There is a VERY long list of disqualifying conditions, and being too stupid/sick/suggestible to be able to figure out your own sex is or ought to be one of them.

What is the chromosome makeup of this mysterious new “gender” called Trans? There are males and females, and in the military there are male and female uniforms. There are blood tests to determine sex or gender, and military policy to dictate dress codes which uniform to wear. There are male and female living quarters, restrooms etc. Barring a rare genetic birth defect, sex is easily determined by a chromosome test.
I’m not going to say that Trump has a ‘private policy’ vs. a ‘public policy’.
I’ll leave that machination to Hillary.

They must meet all the requirements. A person who believes he’s a tree would be considered mentally unqualified.

YES, any PATRIOT should be allowed to serve.
AFTER everyone is given the same battery of tests to prove their knowledge, morality etc etc.
What the test doesn’t get, boot camp used to.
Occasionally some would make it through but the Military NEVER did say that Queers, Trannies, Wannabees COULDN’T serve, the Military was given a set of standards to follow.
If the Military isn’t willing to give me a tallywacker transplant - a newer, bigger model— then they shouldn’t be giving ‘addadicktomes’ or takeadickfrommes’.
Remember the old Marine joke about the recruits showing up at MCRD and the DI telling them

I've always said that there should never be military pensions except 401 types because it tends to keep people in who have no business being in the military at all..
If young men and women that have attention deficit were not allowed to serve if they had to take retillin then transsexuals who take hormones should not be allowed to serve for the same reason.

I knew quite an Athletic, Smart, and Patriotic fellow who was turned down multiple times because he has high blood pressure every time he went to the recruiter’s office. These freaks and their supporters are ridiculous.

The thing with being “transgender” is that unless they tell someone or indicate it someway, no one would know.
So no one is stopping a “trangender” from serving. They are however stopping those with no self control not to expose themselves to the world.
When I see many top military men coming out in support of homosexuals and trannies I begin to think that maybe they have been in the closet and are hoping they will soon beable to come out themselves.
“...and meets all the requirements should be able to serve in our military” is the caveat that will disqualify nearly every transgender due to not being able to pass the medical boards. If you get frequent headaches you will be disqualified in a DoDMERB.
Then you DON'T meet ALL the requirements. Almost everyone here is missing the point - the KEY phrase is:
"MEETS ALL THE REQUIREMENTS". So, he (the Navy Secretary) gets it, which some of you do not.
Who in the hell is vetting these secretary picks? Trump seems to be surrounding himself with people that want to stab him in the back. I have a feeling that Obama bootlicking scumbag McMaster is behind much of this.
