I understand the organized rally was to keep the Robert E. Lee statue from being removed by the city????
Why can’t city/state governments just leave the historic statues alone and none of these events would have to take place. I’m not siding with white supremacists - I grew up a Yankee and no dog in the fight but both sides fought and died and all the lives lost need to be honored. What next - remove the Civil War cemeteries? Wipe out the one in Gettysburg for example?
Are we to erase our history? If so, remove the MLK, Jr. statue in DC. With history erased, there would have been no need for MLK, Jr., no civil rights movement so why keep it?
Mc Auliffe and various other dignitaries (??) in VA spoke at their press briefing as if the past 8 years of one certain administration did nothing to fuel the fires that burned through those years and continue on today. They’re not going to acknowledge the hand that spread the gasoline and threw a match on the pile...and gleefully stepped back to watch cities burn. A man who doesn’t step a foot back in what he calls “my hometown”; a city he didn’t live in until he was in his twenties and certainly unsafe to visit. I guess the person himself is even confused about where he came from!
News reporters today were “concerned” about VA being an “open carry state” and violence would erupt because people were at the rally with guns!! I guess maybe they should start being concerned about “cars” also.

Everything, from what I could see, was taken to the extreme. Friday night's assembly was peaceful yet the MSM decided to characterize it as Alt-Right, White Nationalists or Supremacists.
What happened today, I believe, was that overnight the call went out for every Left Wing Thug, paid or otherwise to get to Virginia and promote as much violence as possible with the fix in that it was the White Assembly rather than what it was. Who drove that car into that crowd, my money is on a paid Left Wing thug.
Then the government gets involved and escalates the thing totally out of control. McCauliffe and others are the ones that are responsible for much of what happened today.

I wonder if they think we really believe they “are concerned” or do we see a bunch of people who would like to see it “mixed up a little” so they can keep their mugs in front of the cameras? I believe it’s the latter.. They truly do insult our intelligence.
The police may have screwed up big time; first by allowing these demonstrations to come together; second by not having overwhelming force present; and third as reported by Fox News allowing the helicopter to do extended hovering time and thus putting mechanical stress on the aircraft.
So yes these people and their fellow travelers actively work to "keep it mixed-up".

So, these removal of statutes by cities are illegal.
The media has been reporting conflicting casualty totals and generally getting Republicans and Democrats on camera to trash President Trump.
One died in the car crash-attack, two died when the helicopter crashed so some media hype three dead in Charlottesville today as well.
They are probably members of the Federal timber/grazing Rights Revocation Land-Being-Held-as-a-Hostage Rescue Team....

I’ve given the cable channels the usual treatment I give them with a few minutes here and there today and I saw a horrible exchange on MSNBC right after 8pm Eastern.
The reporter in the field in Charlottesville was trying to calm down the anchor in New York who kept intimating that violence was done to the helicopter this afternoon when it crashed.
The insanity of the “gasoline and match” coverage from the MSM is too much for some of its own members and its showing live on air in this case.
THREE dead amidst clashes? Who exactly were the 2 LEOs on the chopper clashing with?
