CHARLOTTESVILLE A man accused of plowing a car into a crowd of protesters here killing one person and leaving 19 injured has long sympathized with Nazi views and had stood with a group of white supremacists hours before Saturdays bloody crash.
The accused driver, James Alex Fields Jr., 20, of Ohio, had espoused extremist ideals at least since high school, according to Derek Weimer, a history teacher.
Weimer said that he taught Fields during his junior and senior years at Randall K. Cooper High School in Kentucky. During a class called Americas Modern Wars, Weimer said that Fields wrote a deeply researched paper about the Nazi military during World War II.

White supremacist shows up at a white supremacist rally and decides to drive his car into a crowd of white supremacists because he’s a white supremacist.
Something about this rings false to me.
white supremacists....so that is what they are calling people who want to preserve Civil War history? I see Racist didn’t work so now they are using this term.
Wonder if this kid really was a Nazi supporter? I am sure deep state has fixed his past history by now. What that kid did was horrible, just for the record.
Well.... don’t ever attend a National Defense University because they study battles and tactics, order of battle, task forces no matter what military, Greek, Roman, Nazi, NVA, CHICOM, Japanese, Babylonian....
The crowd he drove into were AntiFa counter-protestors. You know, the same sort of people that have been rioting and attacking Republican / Conservative groups for the last year or more, back to the Trump rally in Chicago, the Milo talk at Berkeley, etc.
Something feels off about this story.
If I write a school paper about Hitler, does that make me a Hitler sympathizer?
I wonder where we would be if they sunk 1/10 of the effort into looking into Barry’s history and finding out what he “wrote” while he was in college, law school or even high school..
Alleged driver of alleged car that allegedly drove in alleged protestors causing alleged injuries and death ...
“decides to drive his car into a crowd of white supremacist”
The crowd of people he hit were holding BLM and antifa signs not the blood and soil types.
has long sympathized with Nazi views “
SO he was a Demonrat after all.
Another hit piece of far left crap .
The MSM is struggling to align this man with Pro-Trump groups, but the high school stuff about his fascination with Nazis is all they’ve come up with so far in his past. Exposing his political leanings shouldn’t take long, unless the media has to manufacture something. Watch for lots of fake news.
>What that kid did was horrible, just for the record.<
Not certain I agree.
From the video I’ve seen, under the circumstances any person in their right mind would probably have done the same.
(Actually, I probably would’ve un-holstered and started shooting the leftist scum.)
....white supremacists....so that is what they are calling people who want to preserve Civil War history?...
I’m all from preserving Civil War History. Im sure you are too. But, I saw men wearing old fashioned Robert Byrd Klan white sheet outfits shouting at the leftists. Plenty of blame to go around.
This nutcase lunatic “Nazi” kid is a killer...but the real culprit of this totally useless horror show of left & right wing terrorist radical goons is the handiwork of none other then Democrat, Governor, Terry McAullife. The blood of murdered innocents and others is dripping from his guilty fingertips. Take it from me folks, the real honest truth will opt, before this new week is out.
He set this gig up with great glee...only it backfired in his ugly face. Virginia...impeach him!!!
“a road packed with activists opposed to the white nationalists”
Notice they said ‘activists’ instead of commie anarchists.
I don’t care what “sympathizer” he was. That has nothing to do with it. Try him and execute him. All this other talk is polarizing.
Aka a “ friendly fire” incident
