Time after time, example after example, the Left demonstrates what they truly believe. That is, in the cold hard face of reality these people are truly convinced that what they want to be true -- what they need to be true -- will become the "new reality" if they want it desperately enough with all their hearts and minds, if they write it or say it (always with increasing volume) enough times, and if they try really, really, really hard to ignore the facts their reality will come true!
I've seen this behavior far too many times to deny its existence on the Left.
They planned to have violence and they got it.

Stupid thing to say
There seems to be vile collusion between liberal mayors and the violent forces, who hate Trump, by prohibiting their police from protecting Trump supporters from BLMers, Antifa and other hired left wing thugs
This collusion appeared to be very evident at Charlottesville this past weekend.
Remember the riots in San Jose when Trump came to speak? The San Jose cops under orders from their liberal mayor let Trump supporters be harassed, attacked and chased by hired thugs.
Then, the first UC Berkeley riots last year were a replication of the San Jose attacks on Trump supporters. The cops were under orders from the mayor to let the Antifa thugs run wild to harm, harass and chase our people away.
The mayor of Charlottesville, apparently attended UC Berkeley. So, he would have been very familiar with how to set up riots like this by controlling his police like the Berkeley mayor did!
I posted shortly after the Berkeley riots had started, “That my wife had asked during the early so called tv news why the cops just stood by watched our people being attack?”
I told her, that it was apparent the cops had orders not to protect our people.
It is real simple. In any city with a police force, the mayor and maybe the city council tell their police chief what his/her cops can and cannot do in these situations.
So the individual cops with their mortgages, kids in braces and maxed out credit cards just stand by when our people are attacked without any police protection.
Remember, when the mayors shut down their cops at Chicago and later, in other cities did nothing when the anti Trump protesters tried to shut Trump down in his appearances in 2016!
In the above riots/near riots, the mayors and their mediots blamed Trump and his voters, not the criminal rioters.
Did they all stand around thanking each other and patting themselves on the back?

Similar to what Gov. Moonbeam Brown said in the aftermath of the Oroville Dam Spillway collapse. His conclusion? “Stuff happens.”
It was indeed theatre, combined with some “ops”. These kinds of things tend to give off a certain aroma, but this one stinks like an overfilled honeydew wagon in August.
Only in the fevered imagination of someone like Soros, would any right-thinking or conservative group happily rub shoulders with swastikas and Roman salutes. I call BS, comprehensively.
Keep in mind the number of participants was merely a few hundred, with most of those just acting as filler. The police cordon was intended to define and secure the operational area. We know it definitely was NOT intended to protect the peace.
I’m betting there’s a very interesting story behind the chopper crash, which I hope to know while still on this side. I must reject the sheer coincidence theory for this crash out in the boonies. I just find myself wondering if these two officers were a problem which a certain party decided to solve at the perfect moment when it was known that chaos and raw emotions would rule the day.
If they’ve presumed they’re undetectable and untouchable, they are already at least 50% wrong.
