normally I hate pardons by the president because most of them are done as they are leaving the white house and don't have to face the political fall out of what they have done but in this case if he does it now I believe it is appropriate because it is not as a a president leaving the white house and the president will have to answer for the pardon. also it will put his friends and enemies on notice that he will protect anyone that is being persecuted in the judicial branch of the government for being a supporter of his government if he feels they have broken no law but have done his will in government.

Means he will sign one pardon after another rather than process them in parallel.

The modus operandi of the Left is to criminalize their opponents, while using the system to avoid criminality themselves.

There were NO criminal convictions of Clinton administration or 0bama administration figures in their 16 years in office.

Think about that.

I have been waiting for this. It’s a goid move. An even better move would be hiring him as director of federal prisons after the pardon. Joe knows how to incarcerate bad guys.

How can a judge order a sheriff around? Isn’t there supposed to be separation of powers?

This is a no brainer!!!!

Do it! Stop listening to your politically correct advisors!!

They are probably the IDIOTS that told TRUMP to let Monica Crowley & Sheriff David Clarke go!

Hiring him as a director of federal prisons?
I understand the sentiment, but Sheriff Arpaio just had his 85th Birthday two months ago today.
Such a high profile hire would not be responsible.
Perhaps at some other capacity, as a consultant on training staff, Oh Yes!

If you can’t cut and paste, at least capitalize where necessary and don’t leave words out of the headline.

If Arpaio is pardoned, it will be an admission of guilt. The conviction won’t be reversed. He’ll still be a convicted criminal.

I was a very early supporter of Trump.

I was then critical of him for a while. But I have to say I am (very) proud of him about how he has thus far, handled the Korean mess, and I am COMPLETELY in favor of him pardoning Sheriff Arpiao.

Completely. This is a huge winning move.

Can the President pardon state offenses?

I always though he could only pardon federal offenses.

It just doesn’t sit well with me the way he has been treated. He deserves an award, not a pardon.

But isn’t Arpaio facing 6 months for a misdemeanor in a federal district court?

All the press need to do is ask,” Why are you pardoning a White Supremacist?”, and Trump will back down.

And hughly too.

Fedzilla should bow out of this kind of question. If Arizona leveled no sanction on Joe then neither should Fedzilla.
