Looks like only certain hospital patients have to worry about it for now. As for how it’s passed, by patients and the staff. It’s hard to eradicate which makes infection control even more important and problematic. FWIW, any more, if folks are having an elective procedure at a hospital, ask ahead of time about nosocomial infections and rates. Then make your decisions accordingly.
