With the rise of prenatal screening tests across Europe and the United States, the number of babies born with Down syndrome has significantly decreased, but few countries have come as close to eradicating Down syndrome births as Iceland.
Since prenatal screening tests were introduced in Iceland in the early 2000s, the vast majority of women -- close to 100 percent -- who received a positive test for Down syndrome terminated their pregnancy.

“Disappearing” seems to be the wrong word.
Their reasoning seems to be that if you have Downs Syndrome, you have no right to live. That is what passes for compassion among liberals.
I think the word they’re looking for is “genocide.”
And yet the authors of this article would be shocked and insulted if someone told them they were praising eugenics.

How is it different than Down’s, who they want to eradicate?

The only parade they want to give Down’s is in trash receptacles.
The incidence of Down Syndrone isn’t disappearing. Babies with the extra chromosome are instead being murdered. Big difference. Nice try though, See BS.
Seems like the exterminator is being passed off as a medical breakthrough in Iceland.
If they gave every doctor in the cancer wards a shotgun and orders to shoot cancer patients could they then claim that Iceland is curing cancer?
