The media couldn't be more blatant in distorting Trump's words on Charlottesville
The Hill ^ | August 16, 2017 | John R. Lott, Jr.

Posted on 08/16/2017 9:40:36 PM PDT by rogerantone1

Has the media ever so deliberately and consistently misinterpreted what a president said?

It certainly seems as if the media finally found its proof that President Trump is a racist. ABC News’ coverage was all too typical:

I saw nothing but praise for the joint-Bush statement today. When I read it, my very first thought was "That's exactly what Trump said Saturday!!!!"

But with Trump? Oh no! He didn't denounce White Supremacist groups distinctly. So, Monday, he does exactly that and then what? The press wants to know why it took him so long to denounce the White Supremacists by name.

Forget putting words in his mouth. They're now outright fabricating what Trump "says".

Shocked to see that in “The Hill”. They’re maybe the guiltiest.

The media is committing suicide rightefore our eyes. Even FOX repeats stuff that is not true. They are just succeeding in turning honest people off.

It’s John Lott - of course it’s fair.

But I am surprised that this was published in The Hill.

“Does the press just think that no one will look at what Trump actually said? “

Yes. And, for the most part, they’re right in thinking that.

Can they be so stupid that they don’t realize they are distorting his words? Or has white-hot hate evaporated their power to reason? Perhaps it’s the obvious: they are cynically, deliberately, and dishonestly distorting his statements?

having COLLUDED with the Clinton campaign to have their candidate elected...and having failed...

the FakeNewsMSM had no other choice than to do and say anything, no matter how outrageous, against President Trump, in order to keep from having to answer questions about...

their own COLLUSION with Clinton.

think of all the hacks exposed in the Podesta emails...how come none of them have been fired?

ALL OF THEM SHOULD BE GONE.

We know.

We know that the media has been on a power trip manipulating our thinking.

They have lost a majority of us. They don’t know us or what we think any more.

They are afraid. They have lost power.

Even now, there’s no mention by anyone that the MSM largely operates at the pleasure of Disney, Comcast, Viacom, and now AT&T. Strange, surreal.

Correct! The percentages of the duped and the Alinskyites will be high after another week of this news cycle. But, even more so than the “Russia” distraction, this distraction will clearly separate out the blinded and the Marxists from the rest of us.

Actually, corporate media heads are "suiciding" their "news" readers on air. Guess the thought is they pay them enough for the danger. Really and truly, they have placed these people as targets when they have no choice but to read or lose the money. Very disturbing. Just read people's comments after articles.....it is getting very ugly but then this is what all this has been designed to do.

Globalist can't control America they you must destroy it. We have a huge mess on our hands. It is getting ugly fast and it is all manipulated.

This anger is everywhere on the net. I have been a news junky for decades and to get the pulse of the people I also read comments. I have never in my life seen the anger I am seeing from Americans.

Maybe Jebbie Boy should have read the Biography of Saul Alinsky......

Sanford Horwitt prefaces his biography of Alinsky, “Let Them Call Me Rebel”, with an anecdote he felt illuminated Alinsky’s method. In this anecdote, Alinsky shares his wisdom with students wishing to protest the appearance on their campus of the first George Bush, then America’s representative to the UN during the Vietnam War:

College student activists in the 1960s and 1970s sought out Alinsky for advice about tactics and strategy. On one such occasion in the spring of 1972 at Tulane University’s annual week-long series of events featuring leading public figures, students asked Alinsky to help plan a protest for a scheduled speech by George Bush, then U. S. representative to the United Nations, a speech likely to be a defense of the Nixon Administrations’s Vietnam War policies.

The students told Alinsky that they were thinking about picketing or disrupting Bush’s address. That’s the wrong approach, he rejoined–not very relative and besides, causing a disruption might get them thrown out of school. He told them, instead, to go hear the speech dressed up as members of the Ku Klux Klan, and whenever Bush said something in defense of the Vietnam War, they should cheer and wave placards, reading ‘The K.K.K. supports Bush.’ And that is what the students did with very successful, attention-getting results.

IMO, I believe most people who listened to Prez Trump statement on Saturday understood he is against all of the agitators. However when he said there were some fine people from both sides protesting is when the media distortion occurred. I sure he meant common every day people that were not agitators and just wanted to make a statement about the statue.

And he should have just left it at that.

It’s even worse on hard left mailing lists. They’re openly talking about murdering ever white male Trump voter when they get back into power.

The left must die if the American people are to survive.
