Frontline doesn’t help my cats. Better off without it. It’s not cheap stuff either.

Plague is endemic to the American Southwest. Nothing new here.

a trapper caught a fox, threw it in back seat of his car- loaned his car to a friend (After removign hte fox) both men came down with bubonic plague-

We also have pneumonic (sp?) plague here in US- hanta virus- which by hte way is not a western only virus— etc-

Man in NY City wiped off some mouse turds from his counter tops- in doing so he stirred up hanta virus- He died- another fella was camping out east somewhere- slept in a lean to that had double walls- mice had moved in between the walls- man died of hanta virus-

Went to a sportsman’s dinner and a guest speaker was a wildlife biologist who traps mice for a living ot test for viruses - He told the crowd he will not handle hte mice without a full hazmat suit on and mask-

If all that aint enough we now are seeing lyme disease, powassan disease etc spreading like wildfire in the US-

So mice carry fleas and ticks that cause plagues and lymes and carry hanta virus- Swell- Just think of all them ice crawling around in your attics, basements, on kitchen counters

Enjoy the great outdoors

Wow.

Imagine that.

People are suffering from the loss of helpful snakes.

Bring in some cats...oh, wait...cats will carry the fleas, too.

Never mind.

Lyme disease went wildfire after the brainiacs in CT decided to eradicate all the rattlesnakes.

No predators, the mice flourished.

Thanks ophidiophobes.

Thanks a lot.

Fleas have been carriers of the plague for a long time. Ground squirrels are the hosts.

While this sounds bad, the plague is now treatable with current antibiotics. A two week regimen and you’re okay.

It’s not a serious threat unless a person refuses to go in and get treated.

Kinda horrifying, really.

I would let them stay home where it’s safe.

Yes, I really can’t imagine the circumstances that would result in my being in Arizona, anyway, let alone with pets.
