Paul Ryan Told GOP To ‘Keep President Hillary Clinton Accountable’ Because ‘Trump Can’t Win’

It’s well documented that Speaker Paul Ryan was not and is still not a supporter of President Trump. Texas GOP Congressman Louie Gohmert reveals Ryan told fellow Congressmen that they should be focused on keeping “President Hillary Clinton” accountable because Donald Trump won’t win the White House.

Townhall reports:

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) has revealed that during the 2016 presidential campaign, House Speaker Paul Ryan told him and his fellow Republicans to give up on Donald Trump’s campaign and just focus their energy on keeping “President Hillary Clinton accountable.” According to Ryan, the Republicans had no chance at the White House, so at the very least they should try to retain their House majority.

The directive came during a conference call, Gohmert told The Daily Caller in a video interview and then confirmed again during his appearance on “Fox & Friends” Sunday.

The Texas Republican, as you can imagine, was not thrilled with Ryan’s suggestion.

“Are you crazy? We haven’t held anyone accountable. You haven’t even let us hold the IRS commissioner accountable [for using government power to harm President Obama’s political adversaries],” an astonished Gohmert said to the speaker on a call.

Let us never forget the audio of Speaker Paul Ryan on a conference call with House Republicans, where he told them to ditch defending Trump. The Republican leader told members of the U.S. House of Representatives that he was abandoning then GOP presidential nominee, Donald Trump forever.

We got rid of Cantor, we can get rid of Ryan. This guy is a vicious Trump backstabber, he needs to be stomped in the primaries. We can do it!!

It was so much easier for Ryan when all he had to do was give Obama 90 percent of what he wanted and then declare victory about denying Obama the other 10 percent.

Pual Ryan is a certified loser. So it should not be too difficult.

The biggest thing people in Wisconsin will have to watch for is Rat boy stealing the election.

Paul Ryan has never had a real job in his life. So, what Party do you think he would champion.

He’s fake as they come.

When did the GOP ever hold a Democrat president accountable?

I’ll never understand how our party can be so willfully stupid. They have a golden ticket and they would rather preen for Democrats than use the opportunity. They somehow convince themselves that it’s just Trump and that next time the media will be fair, somehow forgetting how GWB was treated.

There doesn’t seem to be any serious interest by a conservative to garner the votes needed to replace him.

When did the GOP ever hold a Democrat president accountable?

In reality, never. In useless argle-bargle and cheap meaningless throwaway votes for flyover country digestion, lots of times.

Paul Ryan, the dick-less wonder. How on earth was this dweeb going to hold Hilary Clinton’s feet to the fire when he spent 8 years facilitating Obama getting away with hundreds of impeachable offences?

This is not surprising since Eddie Munster has always been playing checkers while Trump plays threedimentional chess.

Paul Ryan is a Democrat with a “R” by his name.

The only reason RINOs like Paul Ryan are there is to keep conservatives in check.

That way Republicans never put in a real conservative. Plus the Establishment helps promote the RINOs in congress, on TV and the media in general. It’s so their congressional districts do not vote them out.

I am sure the local congressionalelections are rigged too. So the way you defeat them is though a landslide (which is not easy), primary them or cross over and vote for the other side. If you are going to have a Democrat, then you mine as well have one with an actual “D” by their name vs. a Democrat with a “R” by their name like Rat Boy Ryan

Paul Pyan is the first name on my list to “Replace at all cost” along with McLame, Corker, Graham, Flake, Collins, the other broad, and a bunch of other RINOs, when their election is up.

Good thing PDT backed Ryan & McCain.

They may have turned ‘nasty’ had Trump not backed them.

Also since MRS McConnell has a job with the admin, McConnell is sure showing he is taking it ‘easy’ on Trump.

(Do I really have to add the s/?)

With Paul Ryan and the other vocal media GOP anti Trumpers, it is obvious that they think that Pres Donald Trump is not good enough for the party and a loss to the globalist one worlders who own the democrat party is their goal for coming elections. My thought on all of this is that the Republican party as it now exists, is not good enough for Pres Trump. If the current Republican leadership who control the party, principally Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, do not show unequivocal and unstinting support for the president that the majority of their party voted for, they will find that what is left of their base will not win them another election to many offices. The democrats that they are deferring to are not about to share their power with ex traitors to their own party. I guess that is not a problem for those Republicans who are sponsored and paid for by interests that are not necessarily those of the Republican electorate.
