So what sort of fringe crazies are still clutching to Russia Russia Russia? Well, apparently, Keith Olbermann is grasping at completely laughable straws in the desperate hope that it will soon lead to Trump's departure. He so badly needs it that his promotion of that conspiracy theory, that even Jake Tapper seems to have backed away from it, could best be described as Resignation Porn. Here is Olbermann's August 22 'Resistance' video in which he feigns certainty that Trump's resignation is just around the corner:

Keith Olberman gets my vote in The Katie Couric Career-Equivalency pageant:

1992-1997: ESPN

1998-2001: Fox

2001-2003: ABC radio, NBC, sundry other big name media firms

2004-2011: MSLSD

2011-2012: Current TV

2016-today: GQ website

It's sorta like...

So, what kind of twist can serial-molester-Russian-conspirator-white-supremacist-immigrant-hating Donald J. Trump put into the panties today?

This guy started out as a sports broadcaster that ESPN “let” get away to where he could spout his ultra-liberal lies on MSNBC. And they got rid of him when his rating got so low they staff couldn’t pick it up with a dust pan.

Before working with ESPN, Dan Patrick was known by his real name, Dan Pugh, as an on-air personality with the album rock-formatted WVUD and then, WTUE in Dayton, Ohio (1979–1983). Patrick was then a sports reporter for CNN (1983–89), where his assignments included the World Series, NBA Finals and Winter Olympics. From 1989–1995, Patrick did a daily sports segment for Bob and Brian, a syndicated Wisconsin-area morning show, and in the early 1990s, he did sports updates for the Columbus, Ohio, Rock Station WLVQ and appeared on the morning show “Wags and Elliot.” A real resume of journalism here.

Sorry. Entered the wrong paragraph using my info from Patrick and not Oberman. They worked together on ESPN and the material I copied and pasted was the incorrect person. My apologies.

You have to be pretty bad for ESPN to let you go.

Keith Olbermann works for Fox Sports Midwest. He works in the truck outside the stadium. If they let him in the announcers booth, I’ll quit watching Cardinals baseball.

During the 1990s, Keith actually grasped the problem with the Clintons. I developed an appreciation for him during those years.

Then the Clintons were gone, he got his own show, and boy did he go down hill.

He and many other former sane people have literally destroyed my ability to take them serious.

They act like fools, and that’s how I judge them. They are literally fools.

Didn’t he get the memo, they’ve moved on to “Nazis” cause the Russia nonsense has no legs.

He’s a little slow on the uptake. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts a “fantasy” website about a world where Trump resigns, similar to “the world as if Hillary won the election” website...pretty sick, isn’t it?

Not really. Look at Limbaugh. One show and because he told the truth, they sacked him immediately.

“If they let him in the announcers booth, I’ll quit watching Cardinals baseball.”

You are correct. But they won’t let him in the booth at any national level as he has no credibility at any level. He has ruined that long before this. But I no longer have sound on during any of the games I take a brief watch to as the “announcers” on now are hired by the network and do not have any idea what they are seeing along with spending way too much time on one team trying to protect them from either physical errors, bad pitches, or stupidity.

But, here’s a question: are there any journeymen players in baseball anymore. Are there only two categories of star or superstar? If there were, no one would fail. And they all do with way too much regularity. The fan has learned, or been taught, to accept ordinary or substandard as greatness so the sport is lowered to mediocrity, at best. In other words, boring for the real fan. I can’t even handle two innings any more before I change the channel.

I live in Tacoma, WA, about an hour from the Mariners new park. Lived here for almost 30 years. Never been to a game there. I watch the Tacoma Rainiers about twice a year, live. Like their hotdogs and peanuts. Good thing. I used to love baseball. I have no idea what they are playing now, so badly.
