‘House negroes stand up!’ Herman Cain tries a different approach to support Ben Carson

Former black Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain tried to offer support to Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson by telling all “house negroes” to “stand up” in a letter posted to his website.

Cain called on “house negroes” to stand up in support of Carson after a Michigan Chronicle op-ed accused Carson of being a “house negro” following Carson’s defensive of President Donald Trump’s remarks on the Charlottesville riots.

“If being called a ‘house Negro’ is what some of us must endure for succeeding in this nation and thinking for ourselves, then let all of the “house Negroes” stand up and be counted,” Cain wrote in his letter. “Wow! There are too many to count, but there’s Dr. Ben Carson standing tall among millions, and doing something great again.”

“House negro” is commonly used as a slur against black people who are seen as too subservient to white people. Cain went on to praise Carson for choosing to sacrifice his time to take the HUD position so he could bring new ideas to help the black community.

“Secondly, Dr. Carson didn’t become a world-renowned brain surgeon by being a ‘house Negro.’ He achieved this distinction because of his intellect and the results he produced in his profession,” Cain wrote. “Dr. Carson had plenty of other better paying and less stressful opportunities to choose from before he accepted the HUD position, but he chose to serve his country and a president who is truly trying to create a better America.”

Only 3% of the black vote did not go to Obama. There ain’t that many House Negros left. The 97% are Porch Negros standing on the Democrat Plantation.

If people like Dr. Carson, Mr. Cain and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas are “house negroes”, we could use many more of them.

I’m with you Mr. Cain. Even though I’m white, today we are all house negroes.

If being a critical thinker, conservative, and a Christian means being called derisive terms, perhaps the thing to do is wear them as a badge of honor.

If Carson solves some of the problems with rental housing and inexpensive older homes which never qualify for HUD loans, that would help his case with a lot of people. It would also help to stabilize at risk neighborhoods and boost home ownership numbers.

He will never be able to please some people, same with Herman Cain.

This is more leftist projection.

What, exactly are House "Negroes?" They are people who think for themselves and don't need self-appointed, so-called black leaders to hold their hands.

So the Jesse Jacksons, the Al Sharptons...these are the real House N-words.

Indeed, wear those insults as a badge of honor!

Look at the way “deplorables” blew up on Hillary. Months later we still use “deplorables” as a proud way to describe ourselves.

Only liberals can get away with calling blacks “house negroes” or other racist slurs. Thank you, Herman Cain, for having the spine to call them out on it. No white GOPe cuck ever would.

House Negro

The irony here is that during the slave-holding years, the House Negroes were the intelligent ones who worked in the plantation house. They were taught to read and write, they were given much responsibility and even ran the household.

The House Negroes looked down their noses at the Field Negroes, who were generally less intelligent, less educated and who had to be supervised closely.

Many successful blacks, today, are actually descendants of House Negroes. There are even Greek-lettered, Black Fraternal Organizations, that trace their lineage to their House-Negro ancestors.

Blacks referring to people like Cain, Sowell, Thomas, et al as House Negroes is like White Trash denigrating Caucasian college-educated professionals.

Turn the term on them. House Negro = Black person/family that owns a home.

House Negro is a good term even to BLM’rs that are asking childless white people to give their homes to blacks when they die.

What in the hell would you rather be: house/condo Negro, apartment Negro, public housing Negro ?????

f em.
