Trump is not a conservative. He’s a pro-life libertarian. As am I.

Just my 2 cents.

Back on topic: Good decision. Shows how Trump has discernment. :) So nice for a change.

I don’t disagree. I use Trump as shorthand for conservatism, because he is as close as we can get, and better in some ways. A conservative might not say (and generally have not said) the things Trump does say.

And I like that.

No October or so. I worked the graveyard shift at WalMart, why I got so drunk I don’t remember, but I was a good worker so I attempted to go to work, I was guilty, no question. when they asked me to do the FST tests I just said cuff me. I was lucky, if I had killed someone I’d be in prison.

I was just trying to find out more information on Judge Susan Ritchie Bolton, the judge appointed by Bill Clinton to a seat on the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.

It appears that she found Joe Arapio in contempt of court for enforcing a law that she previously ruled was legal. I’m not sure I understand the complexities of the case history on Joe. (I thought she was a Democrat even though her bio lists her as Independent.)

Here is a Wiki post of her bio:

2010 Arizona immigration law cases

In July 2010, Bolton heard arguments on three of seven lawsuits related to the Arizona SB 1070 immigration law, the most notable of which is United States v. Arizona.[4][5]

On Wednesday, July 28, 2010, Bolton issued a ruling blocking small portions of SB 1070, writing that “requiring police to check the immigration status of those they arrest or whom they stop and suspect are in the country illegally would overwhelm the federal government’s ability to respond, and could mean legal immigrants are wrongly arrested.”[6] Judge Bolton wrote: “Federal resources will be taxed and diverted from federal enforcement priorities as a result of the increase in requests for immigration status determination that will flow from Arizona.”[6]

On September 5, 2012, Judge Bolton cleared the way for police to carry out the 2010 law’s requirement that officers, while enforcing other laws, may question the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally. This part of the law has been called the “show me your papers” provision.[7]

On July 31, 2017, Judge Bolton filed her “Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law” holding former Maricopa County sheriff Joe Arpaio in criminal contempt of court for violating an injunction.[8] President Trump pardoned Arpiao on August 25, 2017.

The whole point of the POTUS pardoning someone is over the idea that a criminal conviction is unjust.

You're off the mark but at least you hit the backboard. A pardon can come for any reason the President so chooses and I bet there are a lot more pardons other than the 'criminal conviction' is unjust.

Trump pardons ex-Sheriff Joe Arpaio over federal conviction

This guy Chris Stirewalt on Fox News says that President's Trump decision to pardon Sheriff Arpaio fall directly on President's Trump's shoulders and this is why it looks bad for the President to Pardon the Sheriff.

He also mentioned that the America Hating Imposter Obama pardoned 1700 folks and a lot of them were criminals but Chris mentioned that what Obama did was over and this falls negatively on President Trump.

Chris Stirewalt is "One piece of work!"

Stirewalt is just a POS anti-Trumper. I could not care less what he says about anything. I ignore him.
