Under current law, in addition to a 1.9 percent across-the-board increase for the base General Schedule, locality pay increases averaging 26.16 percent and costing $26 billion would go into effect in January 2018.

Not any more! 26 percent average locality pay increase, means some were going to get a lot more; not any more thanks to President Trump doing his job of fiscal responsibility. The nation’s credit card is overused and abused, and President Trump is trying to rein in costs (unlike Congress).

Goes a log way to harvey reconstruction or the wall??

Same with government workers here in NJ regarding Christie; he really highlighted the disparity between teachers’ packages and those of the people expected to provide them (us)...

“That $26 billion would fund the Wall. “

I sure hope so! Everyone cried there was no money for a wall, yet, merely cutting out the crap like a ridiculous 26% locality increase pays for it.

To give an idea of just how much money locality pay can be, the locality pay for federal employees in Denver is 24.65%.

That means federal employees get 24.65% more than their base wage. If an employee makes $100,000 base wage, they get $24,650 more for a total of $124,650.

I’m assuming that the cut impacts senators and congressmen as well since they piggy-back on federal worker raises. So it’s a two fer.

““You see what is happening!” Yeah, ain’t it grand???”

I voted for it and expect it!

I am sick and tired of being taxed to death while such idiots claim there is nothing to cut or that we can’t afford to pay for a wall, yet, these scum suckers are robbing the taxpayers blind!

Nothing new about freezing pay raises in the private sector, it’s done all the time. I trust it will ALSO effect the automatic pay increases for the do nothings in congress and the senate as well............Oh, I forgot, they control their own automatic salary increases. Hands off Mr. President.

Amen, Congress should serve and not look to be compensated for their time. They should do it as good Citizens would be Happy to do.

Also, most of them do nothing.

Worse they screw things UP.
