The entire "denier" language was chosen by the Left. Germany and Austria passed laws that prosecuted "Holocaust Deniers." While their intentions were good, it is never advisable for a Western nation to enact speech crimes.

The Left saw this, and ran with it. "Climate Change Denier" is now Leftist and mainstream media canon law in support of their paganism.

I was just a kid when I learned that denying the holocaust was illegal in Germany. I thought that was the stupidest thing I ever heard of, and I was happy I lived in a country where people were free to say anything they wanted too, even if they were making fools of themselves or insulting some.
