Gov. Jerry Brown’s popularity has slipped in recent months, but a majority of California voters still approves of his job performance, according to a new USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll.

The survey found 53% of voters gave the Democratic governor a favorable job rating, down from 64% in February, shortly after the start of his final term. Thirty-four percent rated him negatively, up from 27% in February.

The survey found Californians in a relatively sour mood: Only 38% said the state is moving in the right direction; 49% said things are pretty seriously off track.

Take note this from the USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll, they only public pollster to predict a Trump win.

That being said, I hope my fellow Californians are waking up. You have to be sleeping to not takie notice of the vast homeless druggie encampments that have sprung up all over the state the last 2 years. Even in affluent Fountain Valley that have a huge homeless doper encampment along the Santa Ana River. These people hop over the fences to bath in peoples swimming pools. They steal their bikes. Throw their feces in their backyards.

I live in a once nice area between Diamond Bar, Pomona and Chino Hills called Phillips Ranch. The area is lined with trails and green belts. Homeless meth heads have taken them over. The police will show up now and then and clear them out, but the come right back.

Many of these homeless dopers are "Jerry's Kids". Recipients of Jerry Browns executive order to release people on drug charges from jails and prisons to relieve "overcrowding". Also homeless dopers are migrating from other states and police agencies have been ordered to leave the homeless alone. We also have a taxpayer funded needle program.

Perhaps people are growing sick of Jerry Brown and his Democrats?

Also at the time Trump took office, Jerry Brown was riding high with at 74% approval rating as the sate rallied around him in a fit of anti Trump furor. He has lost 21%.

Exactly. Californians aren't waking up, Gov. Brown just hasn't gone far enough left for them.

Don't worry, Gov. Gavin Newsom will make up for it.

I hate to be the cynic but I am not as optimistic. Those of us who are awake have already left the state for friendlier confines or are making preparations for their exodus. My family falls in the latter camp.

The rest of this ridiculous citizenry are brainwashed idiots evidenced by more than half of this poll giving Moonbeam a favorable rating in spite of:

1. Out of control taxes and government spending

2. A public employee pension system that will financially ruin this state

3. A morally bankrupt culture who has open disdain for what this country is about and what has made her great

SCREW CALIFORNIA!!!

Perhaps people are growing sick of Jerry Brown and his Democrats?

Not for the foreseeable future - California has become a single-party state due to unchecked illegal immigration and massive inflows from the Northeast, with the acceptable political spectrum ranging from hard liberal to hard radical left. If people are unhappy with Brown, that likely means someone even further to the left of him will be able to challenge him for the governorship.

Let’s hope so. Belated. I grew sick of the b-stard the first time around when he became known as “Moonbeam”.

Jerry Brown, his method politicking, and his Democrat party of deceit, self serving thugs, and cunning criminals have done in what was once a great State.

If only my state would wake up, unfortunately Los Angeles County will NEVER EVER wake up. Trust me I live here, you can’t even whisper that you voted for Trump without fear of getting your head bashed in..the media 100 percent Democrat..they have to contain themselves from rolling their eyes whenever they mention Trump’s name

Well, we own a commercial building in the North SF Bay. We have owned it for 18 years. Earlier this year, we were forced by the kind of intrusions you mention, to put in a number of internet-capable cameras so we are able to assist local law enforcement in removing these people. While it is getting better, at least once or twice a week, we are awakened by our iPhones in the wee small hours of the night, because one or more of the cameras has detected a person or persons. Then I have to get up, and go to my computer, where I can see in greater detail what's going on, call the police dispatcher, give complete description(s) ( including whether or not I see any weapons), and wait watching the streaming video until the cops arrive.
Now, thanks to “new CA laws,” these kinds of trespass, are no longer misdemeanors, they are “infractions” at least in the first instance. So the cops just take names and tell them to leave. To pave the way for arrests for repeat offenses, we have to provide the local PD with “letters authorizing them to arrest on our property," and the letters are good for only 30 days, so we have to gin up 12 of them for the year. The funny thing is that they all have cell phones ( which they plug in to charge), and in the winter, some of them bring electric blankets, for which we furnish the electricity. The only good news is that when we catch someone “plugging in,” we have them arrested for “theft of electricity.,” which at the end of the day goes nowhere in the justice system. At the end of the day, only perseverance, is getting the problem under some semblance of control.

“Incredible. Lucky for me I live hundreds of miles north of you where we have no such problems.”

Don’t speak too soon. I have lived in Phillips Ranch for nearly 20 years. If you would have told me we would have homeless camps here, I would have laughed. Keep in mind this is still a mostly middle and upper middle class neighborhood I am in. 20 years ago the homeless were only on the skid rows of LA or San Bernardino back. But now homeless camps are spreading all over California at record pace.

I was in San Luis Obispo 2 months ago and was stunned there many homeless roaming around. There was a small homeless right behind the parking lot at the Ramada Hotel I stayed in. I was shocked. I asked the front desk about as I was worried about my car being broke into. They said the police wont come an move them out. The police tell them being homeless is not a crime (even though these people were smoking meth).

This state is a gigantic socialist shit hole.

Be vigilent, because these camps spring up overnight,.

I would love to see the same poll done limited to American citizens, but that might be hard to accomplish in LA.

We have had a few homeless people here, but when it drops down to less than 10 degrees at night during the Winter, they clear out fast.

38% said the state in moving in the right direction? Really, California is moving in the right direction. I guess those 38% want to move California to the road of ruin!
