Hillary seems to forget the “PUMA” movement in 2008 which consisted of disgruntled Clinton supporters who wanted a convention floor fight. Obama’s lead was so minimal that he needed the Democratic super-delegates to deliver him the nomination which he failed to win straight up in the primaries. Obama’s team threatened to call for African-American voters to boycott the general election and that locked up the super-delegates for him.
“PUMA” stood for “Party Unity My A**” and many of its adherents threatened to support McCain or a third party candidate rather than Obama.
