Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi has canceled plans to attend the U.N. General Assembly, with her country drawing international criticism for violence that has driven at least 370,000 ethnic Rohingya Muslims from the country in less than three weeks. […]

Attacks by an insurgent Rohingya group on police outposts Aug. 25 have set off a wave of violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine state, with hundreds dead and thousands of homes burned — mostly Rohingya in both cases. …

370,000 Islamic terrorists evicted? Wow. Good news that should be celebrated.

Good for her. She knows how to handle the problem and UN doesn’t.

Well, I’ve yet to hear about merciful Islamic terrorists myself. The Burmese know what they’re up against and they’re acting accordingly.

Nothing new under the sun. Islam is evil. Burma’s been fighting the evil since 1948. Everywhere these people go, their evil acts follow. The other Muslim countries scream about the genocide but never take their own in. The globalists scream genocide and act as if dfending oneself against evil is evil.

Myanmar is doing a great job in an area where America is still sucking its thumb.

I wish Thailand would do the same in the Kra that Burma is doing in Rakhine- push the Moslems into Malaya.

How is Burma still a problem? I watched Rambo clean it out 9 years ago.

“Wow. Good news that should be celebrated.”

Until you find out where these “refugees” went, that is.

She should make no effort to visit the UN. She is doing a fantastic job of protecting her citizens and driving the barbarian hordes out.

She stands as a shining example of what must be done to resist jihad and a global caliphate.

Here's what's happening:

Myanmar is just 4.3% Muslim, but the Muslim population is concentrated in the coastal state of Rakhine, where Muslims constitute 42.7% of the population, with the Muslims having a majority along the coast and Bangladesh border.

Why the unrest? The Muslims are trying to take over and make Rakhine part of Bangladesh.

Rhakine is the coastal state. If Bangladesh gets Rakhine, it can claim the offshore oil and gas deposits in the Bay of Bengal, which is the real reason behind the attempted takeover, and why the military there will not let it happen, even if they have to resort to complete ethnic cleansing.

Meanwhile, Malaysia warns Rohingya crisis could lead to Isis attacks in Burma. Muslim Malaysia is also in competition with Burma and Thailand for offshore oil and gas.

Until this happened, this lady was looked at as the Nelson Mendela of the Asia, right down to the Nobel Prize - which, 26 years ago had the liberals here celebrating in the streets (I still remember that, because she was also hot looking then). She got the prize because, like Mendela, she gave up an easy life offered to her in exchange for keeping out of politics in her country - and suffered for many years due to her decision.

But now she’s about as loved by the Left as Putin, since she’s refused to following the Left’s requirement to treat terrorist Muslims as ‘victims’...it’s amazing to see how quickly the Left flips on people they once admired and shoved in our faces - the moment they go off the reservation...something I actually admire them for.

Looks like the canal could create a divide between the two. I hope they build it:

Thais called to support S$38.2 billion Kra Canal construction that will bypass S’pore ports

Excerpt: “A canal of such magnitude would also divide most of the Buddhist country from the insurgency-plagued and largely Muslim southern provinces.”

LeoWindhorse, I know what you’re taking about. Episodes 15, 16, 20 and 24 of my podcast cover the wars between Burma and Siam. And Episode 18 is mostly about Arakan, modern Rakhine.
