NIH and the FDA are a major waste of money.
In my job I come into contact with their employees. Most are narcissistic a**holes.
My son’s first job was at the NIH. He played basket ball all summer at his work place. As a parent I was a angry becuz I wanted him learn a work ethic. Then one day I go to wake him up and he tells me doesn’t have to go work, the lab director thinks the summer kids need a payed vacation. Now as a taxpayer, I AM LIVID!!!!!!!!
This highlights just how bloated their budget is!
(But the people who work at NIST (National Institute of Standards) are a hoot!!) One of the few agency I like.
