Skip to comments. It looks like Obama did spy on Trump, just as he apparently did to me

Many in the media are diving deeply into minutiae in order to discredit any notion that President Trump might have been onto something in March when he fired off a series of tweets claiming President Obama had tapped wires in Trump Tower just before the election.
According to media reports this week, the FBI did indeed wiretap the former head of Trumps campaign, Paul Manafort, both before and after Trump was elected. If Trump officials or Trump himself communicated with Manafort during the wiretaps, they would have been recorded, too.
But were missing the bigger story.
If these reports are accurate, it means U.S. intelligence agencies secretly surveilled at least a half dozen Trump associates. And those are just the ones we know about.
Besides Manafort, the officials include former Trump advisers Carter Page and Michael Flynn. Last week, we discovered multiple Trump transition officials were incidentally captured during government surveillance of a foreign official. We know this because former Obama adviser Susan Rice reportedly admitted unmasking, or asking to know the identities of, the officials. Spying on U.S. citizens is considered so sensitive, their names are supposed to be hidden or masked, even inside the government, to protect their privacy.
In May, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates acknowledged they, too, reviewed communications of political figures, secretly collected under President Obama.
Weaponization of intel agencies?

Youll recall DNI Clapper falsely assured Congress in 2013 that the NSA was not collecting any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans.
Intel agencies secretly monitored conversations of members of Congress while the Obama administration negotiated the Iran nuclear deal.
In 2014, the CIA got caught spying on Senate Intelligence Committee staffers, though CIA Director John Brennan had explicitly denied that.
There were also wiretaps on then-Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) in 2011 under Obama. The same happened under President George W. Bush to former Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-Calif.).
Journalists have been targeted, too. This internal email, exposed by WikiLeaks, should give everyone chills. It did me.
All I want to know is when do the indictments and trials begin on all these obama Admin criminals and when can we expect to see justice.
Or can we now assume there are two sets of laws in America; one for the well-connected elite and one for the rest of us.
If the Justice Department was serious about prosecuting crime vs. furthering the agendas of the previous Administration Clapper & O’muslimname would be dealing with a Special Prosecutor rather than Pres. Trump.
Using government intelligence agencies to spy on political opponents and journalists is the stuff of two-bit chicken-sh*t banana republics.
Obama sure did fundamentally transform America.
Anyone seen Jeff Sessions lately?
God bless the Patriot Act. And God bless George Bush.
Ole Jeff is doing his rope-a-dope act. He will say nothing, do nothing and reveal nothing until he sees the need to act. He is a Master Mind reader. His ability to take matters to a grand Jury and trial are unparalled in jurisprudence history. Why do an investigation when you already know everything. He has many Freepers believing the stupid expression on his face is just an act. Go get em Jeff!
The even bigger story is Obama’s weaponization of federal agencies. That bell cannot be unrung as every president now has precedent to do the same.
Remember filegate? The notion that Clinton read FBI files? The uproar was massive. Obama would have had the files brought to him by the director and no one would make a peep about it, accustomed as we are to what was formerly unthinkable.
Richard Nixon screwed up when he lied about Watergate. Had he brazened it out, who knows? Maybe he could have received a Nobel Prize.
Sessions, Sessions, It sounds familiar but I can't quite place the fellow. Is he in government service?
Mueller? Mueller? Anyone?
No assumption required to accept known facts.
God will have to bless them because not many here will.
The DOJ is eerily impotent.
It makes no sense at all. Mueller is allowed to run amuck and nothing is said.
Members of Trump’s administration’s are facing financial hardship defending themselves while Mueller’s army continues to grow and yet crickets by the Trump administration.
Evidence of potential (ahem) felonies committed by the O administration are everywhere, yet nothing is done.
Our own government goes into court and fights against Judicial Watch’s attempts to get the needed info to drain the swamp.
Anyone got this figured out? I’d love to hear something that makes sense. The silence is deafening.
smiley face emoticon.
Just like he did to some FReepers.
Anyone seen Jeff Sessions lately?
