Denmark has signed an agreement to provide water purification technology to the thirsty coastal US state of California, in a deal that could bring millions into the Danish economy.

The west coast state will spend millions of dollars over the coming years on improving water quality and reducing waste.

The deal signed with the Danish Ministry for Food and the Environment will provide the opportunity for Danish business to be involved in that development, the ministry said in a press statement.

Minister Esben Lunde Larsen, who signed the agreement, said the Californian market was ideal for Danish water technology.

Although the minister did not specify how many Danish jobs he expected the deal to create, he stressed that it was of “utmost significance” for Denmark’s exporting of water technology to the US. …

When I saw the headline, my first reaction was Denmark agreed to buy California from the US. That just shows how the lunacy that is government in CA has seeped into my brain. Of course, I live in CA and experience the sheer stupidity and lunacy every day.

So, in the entire US...there’s no company on the cutting edge of water purification? And we have to go to Denmark to find cutting edge purification? Sounds like a lot of California political players have been jetting off to Copenhagen for week-long discussions and beer.

Well, many of such have been talking secessionist rhetoric, and they’re looking for friends to back them and their utopian dreams.

So much for American ingenuity.

On the other hand, Holland has a lot of dykes...California has a lot of dykes....I guess is makes some kinda sense.

No worries, they will subcontract back to GE and other American companies, this is a way to wash the money to give kickbacks to the Democrats.

Since they won’t be needing CO river water, they could turn Arizona into a water garden and massive crop producer.

If we ever reach secession version 1.0...where they actually vote and proceed...then we move onto secession 2.0 where the ‘nation’ of Jefferson will ask to succeed from California and rejoin the union. Then version 3.0 will come up with the San Diego folks to be their own nation.

After a while...the nation of California will be about the size of Denmark....both in size and importance.

Lol, Israel is the world's leader in water technology, just look what they have accomplished by turning the wilderness into blooming fields of flowers & fruits to be exported everywhere.

They desalinate more water from the sea than they can use and even sell to these same Palestinians who would slit their throats if given the opportunity.

However, being the good Leftist they are, California's leaders cannot bend themselves to be doing any sort of business with those wicked Jews as it would some of their Muslim friends.

Here is a key sentence in the article: "The deal signed by the ministry will help California to develop law and other initiatives in water technology." Law initiatives? I suppose they mean "legal initiatives" but doesn't that just figure. California has run out of clever ways to tax, fine and regulate the citizens so we have to import some laws.

“The deal signed by the ministry will help California to develop law and other initiatives in water technology.”

Oh, good. California needs more laws.

Oh that wicked & perverse place! The centerpiece of wickedness amid America where the leaders revel in every evil thing; they call Evil good, and Good evil.

They call themselves lawmakers yet they turn their backs on the Moral Law given to them and exempt themselves from the penalizes and burdens of every law that they pass.

“However, being the good Leftist they are, California’s leaders cannot bend themselves to be doing any sort of business with those wicked Jews as it would some of their Muslim friends. “

You are correct that Israel is the world’s leader in desalinization technology. They are also a Leftist country. The reason they are not best buds with Californian Leftists is they are the wrong sort of Leftists. They are white folks, as seen from California, and they aren’t Palestinian, which means they aren’t “diverse.”

Leftists, if given a choice, will always choose the path least likely to succeed. It’s similar to a death wish.

Are they still draining water from farmlands to send to that uninhabitable desert down South? If so, then they seem to be selling a inefficient product,.
Is the water crisis over from de-sal or from wetter weather?

I don't mean to call you a lunatic or stupid, but it is more likely that California(GDP=$2.5 trillion) would buy Denmark(GDP=$300 billion). Same situation with Mexico.

If you wanted to sell California, China(GDP=$11 trillion) would be the best potential buyer.

You can bet that someone (or more than one) in the California government will be getting a piece of this action under the table.

When millions of dollars in taxpayer money are being spent there will always be sticky fingered politicians getting their cut.
