Image during the 2nd Quarter of the 49ers - Rams game this past Thursday night. Pretty dismal attendance for any NFL game, tons of empty seats!!

The problem for the networks and NFL is that once long term viewers stop watching for a few weeks they can very easily become unhooked on the league. I had been a fan for over 50 years religiously watching their games. I would watch every minute of gawd awful 3-13 Bengal seasons. Once you turn the game off you soon realize how unimportant they are. Regardless of what happens with the thugs on parade currently I'll never be the fan I once was.

I read on Reddit that a family of four goes to a 49ers game for 649 dollars. I don’t know of any family who can do that.

I posted it to verify that sponsors are given a guarantee of ratings and the NFL eats it if people don’t tune in.

I dont mind 5 minute commercial breaks. I DVR everything anyway, so i just skip over the commercials.

As I said on another thread, lets watch how this will effect the value of the NFL franchises. I can’t wait to see the annual Forbes article on that. With sliding ratings, etc., they will go down.

“Somebody said empty seats don’t matter, because the tickets have been sold and the teams/NFL got their money, even if fans are no shows.

But the optics are bad when crowds are sparse.”

True, but even worse. It’s one thing to not buy tickets, but after spending hundreds of dollars on the tickets and STILL not attending send a much stronger message.

To put it another way, if they cannot get people who already paid for their tickets to attend this year, they’re going to have a heck of a time getting people to even buy tickets next year.

Watch for some killer discounts...having empty seats violates one of Alinsky’s main rules, which is to isolate your enemy. We America-lovers don’t feel very isolated when we see those empty seats...we know we have a LOT of company.

The GOOD NEWS is that maybe — JUST MAYBE — the American people are finally weaning themselves from the “Bread and circuses” mentality that destroyed Rome and many other civilizations and will start paying more attention to the IMPORTANT stuff.

You know, like how we’re being betrayed and ROBBED by the feckless politicians and their Deep State handmaidens.

On top of this, the NFL has been pretty successful at tamping down the stories of the NFL sponsors’ concern about things is starting to keep them up at night and is shaping up to become a real panic. It’s quite obvious that ESPN is just a puppet for big-league spokesmen and most news outlets blindly follow ESPN’s lead but the NFL is in obvious decline and the silly little Taco Bell dog in the room is now a pink elephant that is growing by the day.
