Google trackers have been found on 75% of the top million websites. This means they are not only tracking what you search for, they're also tracking which websites you visit, and using all your data for ads that follow you around the internet. Your personal data can also be subpoenaed by lawyers, including for civil cases like divorce. Google answered over 100,000 such data requests in 2016 alone!

If they are following me around they should know I don’t buy anything they advertise.
So, maybe they could stop wasting both our time and knock off all those annoying ads / pop ups / spam?

How important is it to get the answer to something you’re idly curious about?

They keep trying to sell me bikinis and lingerie. Not going to buy them but do enjoy the ads.

Can’t believe they get any money from all the pop up and ads. Who’s clicking on them? I’m certainly not.

Google, the search engine of the SJW & other liberal butt-sniffers.
Stopped using it several years back, except when needed for some very worthwhile hacking.

I don’t find Google to be very accurate. I search for “mesa boogies express plus 5:50 head review”, and I get links to reviews and people selling the combo version and the 5:25 head and combo along with (buried) links to actual 5:50 head reviews (along with reviews and sales of the non-plus ones). This is just one example of many...

First most people do not know that every computer ever build has its own identification number. This is what they use to track you.

It is not just by using GOOGLE search engines.

Google owns (or has agreements with) many popular sites. They stick their cookies on your machine and then track where you go. These various sites exchange data and they add their own cookies.

Pretty much everything you do on line is tracked. Once they have you ... you can not get away.

I’m really bad.

I”ll use one web browser to search for what I’m looking for and then cut and paste that URL into a DIFFERENT web browser (one is firefox, the other Chrome) and go to the site to buy the product.

That being said, I’ve gotten to the point where I just buy everything online either through Amazon or Costco.

Knowing what demographic/profile of person _doesn't_ buy is also valuable information.

True, but you can blur the focus to a level that makes it totally useless to them.

Goolag is just building a profile on behavior and location, among other things.

Seems like the outfit could adopt a new logo:

Believe there is/was a company called blue kava that was tracking the likes of you. Same person different devices. This has been going on since early 2000 folks. This is the long tail of the internet. Its pretty hard to stop. You point your web browser somewhere a log entry is made a cookie is generated (probably several and then a serverside cookie too). Its very sticky this web

FB is way to intrusive.
