ick Pitino found the scandal he couldn’t survive.
The Louisville coach, as well as athletic director Tom Jurich, was canned on Wednesday, according to multiple reports, one day after the corruption scandal that rocked the NCAA focused intently on Louisville.
Pitino and Jurich met with Louisville officials Wednesday. According to WAVE-TV, Jurich was asked to fire Pitino and when he refused was fired himself. A news conference is scheduled for later Wednesday.
The FBI investigated corruption and bribery in college sports, arresting assistants from four programs. Louisville was spotlighted by the investigation, which found a Cardinals recruit was funneled $100,000 through Adidas to get him to commit to Louisville.
This is the scandal Pitino could not weather, after he kept the job following the NCAA proving a Louisville assistant hired escorts to strip and have sex with recruits. He also was involved in a sex scandal, when a woman with whom he was having an affair tried to blackmail him.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino is taking a jab at Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
The Hall of Famer will coach Puerto Rican junior and national teams in a six-day exhibition series against his Cardinals next week before preparing them for the FIBA Americas Championship in Mexico City later this month. That upcoming trip gave Pitino a chance to lob some political shade toward the billionaire developer, who has been criticized for making insensitive comments about Mexican immigrants in a speech announcing his candidacy.

Pitino didn't mention Trump by name, but there was no doubt who he was referring to Thursday when he joked that "unlike some political candidates, we love Mexico."
Pitino's remarks came hours before Trump was preparing rebuttals for nine other presidential candidates in the first GOP debate.

Good. ALL thug sports should be utterly destroyed. White men spend entirely too much time on them, and not enough on politics. Kaepernick and his jihadist girlfriend did us a steady last year by making many of us shut off the NFL. Because many, MANY White men — and women too — discovered Donald Trump and got involved in the campaign. I truly believe this helped push him over the top. Stick to sports which respect our country, such as the NHL and MLB. Skip thug sports like NBA, NFL and (sadly) the NCAA hoops as well.
This is just the start. All the practices the FBI exposed are common in HS/College B’ball. Next are the coaches and others at AZ and USCe. The USCe coach Frank Martin just got his time to the Final Four last year the first time. Now we know how he got the talent.
Sounds to me like the Russians framed Pitino . Either that or he was driven insane by the fear of Global Warming.
