Florida Sheriff’s Office Will not Escort Miami Dolphins Until They Stand for National Anthem

The Miami Dolphins are also part of the unpatriotic movement started by Colin Kaepernick that involves refusing to stand at attention for the national anthem. However, they are all starting to feel the consequences of their actions, with the Florida sheriffs office announcing that they will not be escorting the Dolphins to their games unless they stop with the disrespectful behavior. The local Miami police union supported the decision of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and will not be doing any escorting either, reports The Sports Hall.

President of the International Union of Police Associations, Jeffrey Bell said, “I respect their right to have freedom of speech. However, in certain organizations and certain jobs you give up that right of your freedom of speech temporary while you serve that job or while you play in an NFL game.”

After four of their players protested the national anthem, the Dolphins organization released a statement in which they mentioned that while they encourage all players to stand it is not mandatory and is personal choice:

“We encourage all members of our organization to stand at attention during the national anthem out of respect and appreciation for the freedoms we are afforded as Americans. We also recognize that it’s an individual’s right to reflect during the anthem in different ways. We respect these liberties and appreciate the sacrifices that everyone has made for our country, especially on this day of remembrance. We hope today’s events will continue a respectful and thoughtful dialogue in our community on unity, inclusiveness and togetherness.”

The police association is well within their rights, and yet the liberals criticize their decision while at the same time they are praising the athletes for exercising their freedom of speech. If they advocate for freedom of speech and freedom of expression, that freedom has to extend to everyone.

The reality is, other than these athletes getting their fifteen minutes of fame, nothing productive is coming of their protests.

Hey Colin....Never should have done your little dance.

No different than burning the flag.

Now how many millions has your oppressed life accumulated?? Ever given a dime to charity?

Let the spoiled millionaires pay for their own security and security escorts. There’s no reason for the police to provide security to a private function and every reason not to provide it to BLM supporters who want them dead.

If these baby dolphins want escorts they can hire private security. Whatever hits them in their collective pocketbook is a-ok with me!

Ha Ha. Whenever I think of that name it reminds me of intestines and our former secretary of defense —Colin Powell and his stupid antics. Enough already.

This is awesome. Hopefully it will embolden other areas to do the same.

If they see the light and start standing again, I’m still done with them. The cat’s out of the bag. We know how they feel about our flag, our anthem and us.

Can anyone on this forum attempt to explain to me the discrepancy between the NFL rules as enumerated in their manual and the quotes attributed to these goons?

In this post it says that it is not mandatory for the players to stand, and it is a personal choice. Yet in other posts, I have read passages from the rules book that state unambiguously that the players ARE required to stand at attention with their helmets in their left hands.

Which is it???

It probably depends on your reason for kneeling. If you are kneeling because Trump said teams should fire the SOBs who kneel, then you are ok. If you kneel because you hate the United States of America, then you are ok. I bet if a player kneeled during the National Anthem in prayer for the unborn who have been slaughtered by the millions, then he might be fined. If he qualified it by praying for the slaughter of millions of unborn babies of color, then he could probably get away with it. That’s iffy.

But you won’t see that in the NFL. They want a cure for babies and a cure for breast cancer. And a cure for STDs, I would guess. And relief from child support payments. ...

The quotes are not from the NFL rule book. They are from non-public ‘operations manual’ intended to help owners convey a uniform experience at games in different stadiums.

The Commissioner and owners have broad power to make stuff up on the fly, or to accommodate players beyond guidelines, as long as there is nothing specific in the agreement with the players’ association.

Trump is right: This is anti-Americanism by the the Commissioner and the owners.

These few ingrate thugs cannot even give their country a couple of minutes before a game. You know, the country that made their game possible in the first place.

What would the reaction be if Christians started kneeling in prayer as a protest against a country that was founded on Christian principles yet are taking away the rights of Christians.l?

Would those who disagree with the football players disagree with the Christians?

Would those who support the players support the Christians?

I’d love to see millions of Christians protesting FOR Christian rights and pro life organizations protesting against abortion... By mimicking the football ball players.

Just to place a comment:

Re “nothing productive is coming of their protests”.

WRONG.

A lot has come out of their protests but not what the Left and Black racists want.

It has reawaken that “sleeping giant”, the American people, as Adm. Yamamoto found out the hard way.

Patriotic Americans are standing up and defending not only the American flag, but also the symbolism of it. They are seeing the hypocrisy of the most extreme of the football protestors - that they are racists, anti-American, neo-Marxists, and definitely anti-police, among a lot of other things such as greedy, ignorant of the First Amendment, and showing off their arrogance in thinking that a football player is more important than a policeman or fireman or soldier.

In their case, the next time you suffer from a home invasion, call a football player or, not a cop.

See how much good that will do for you and your family.

Thanks for posting. Glad to see this.

The players talk garbage about white cops killing black people, but who do they rely on to escort them to games? Who do they call when someone breaks into their mansion?

Who pays for the police escort now? No one? Time to bill these blowhards for the service.

Why do these multi millionaires get an escort paid by us in the first place?

Talk about privilege. And on top of that a lot of these bastards have the audacity to bitch and moan about the police!

Well all they have to do is come to Hillsborough County. The Sheriff there/here will give them a motorcycle escort and a 21-gun salute. Hillsborough County, Florida is a sanctuary county and the Sheriffs Office here will kiss their ass, as long as they give the U.S. military the finger, hate America, and love illegals.

They get paid millions to play a kids’ game.

That’s what Harry Caray said when the baseball players went on strike back in the ‘80s. That’s child’s play compared to this.
