Napa County Sonoma County WildFire Update

Two places to donate money to help the California fire victims! All of your money will go to that effort!

The family that owns Hall’s Winery has started a matching fund drive to help the people in the fire areas needing financial aid. Every $ donated will be matched and will go to help those in need and not line some rich liberal so called charity’s pockets!

Many of the evacuees left their homes at night with minimal clothing and basically what money they might have had at home. Many will have no homes to return to and maybe no jobs to return to.

This fundraiser being hosted by a great family will help many in need now and later. They will match every $ donated up to $100,000! In less than 24 hours, they have: $54,000 raised of $100,000!

Below is the address for the Salvation Army in Napa, Ca.. 100% of what you donate will help pay for what the Salvation Army has done and will do!

Salvation Army, 590 Franklin St, Napa, CA 94559. Note/ say for fire relief on your check.

These links will let you know the latest about the wild fires.

The Napa and Santa Rosa areas have been hammered. The Sonoma Cty/Santa Rosa area has been hit even harder, and you can see that data on the pressdemocrat link below.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: 39 confirmed dead.

500 still missing.

4,000 structures burned to the ground.

It’s the worst series of wildfires in recorded CA history.

What the hell does that have to do with helping people?

Yesterday afternoon I went to a place designated as a shelter for evacuees to donate some non perishable food.

There was a sign outside that said not taking food donations.

The building was housing Red Cross people.

One person outside had no information as he had just arrived from Santa Cruz Red Cross and had no information about where I could leave food.

Another woman was sitting in a chair outside talking on her phone.

Laughing and having a good time.

I asked her where I could donate some food and she said she had no idea as she just got there from New York.

Why waste money on transporting people from 3,000 miles away and not immediately bring them up to speed on how to help out the victims?

I mentioned to the man that the RC during the Katrina disaster had people send money for help in the area of the hurricane and pocketed millions of dollars for “future use” and did not use the money for Katrina when that is why people donated the $’s.

I told him many people had quit giving to the Red Cross because they misused the money.

I told him to go inside and advise the RC bigwigs inside about this problem.

He said I should report my ACCUSATIONS to the Nat’l RC.

I told him it was proven facts, not accusations.

He was very indignant like I was interrupting his all expense paid vacation.

Thank goodness for the Salvation Army and other charities that will use 100% of money collected to help people in the fire areas.

The Red Cross does some good things, but it seems their main purpose is to collect and horde money.

The feds are sending billions in disaster relief funds.

Gov Brown will make sure it is directed to his buddies and his own stash of stolen money.

Would Reagan have done something like that if he was governor?

Brown is as capable of stealing money earmarked for helping citizens of CA as H&B Clinton were with their Foundation.

They spread money to their friends to be used to help Haiti and these people pocketed most of the money

The Clintons tucked away billions.

Haitians are real mad about that.

That has been what they do best for decades!

Raise money for themselves during a crisis.

Lots of documentation there.

Not that JB isn’t an a-hole, but some on here should remember that California SENDS way more to DC than it gets back.

The fact that the Klintoons did this or Reagan wouldn’t have done that is bullsh!t that has nothing to do with the situation right the F- now.

We’re watching Brown, too much at stake.

Salvation Army is doing great work

Red Cross has always been mostly a scam.

Redwood Credit union is where my donations are going, they did great work in a couple of other fires and know how to use the money to rebuild. Some of the RC people do tend to treat stuff like this as a vacation.

Go to the Santa Rosa Firestorm Update page on FB, they have tons of information about who needs what right now. There are links which will help you. I understand that a couple of churches which have evacuees are taking stuff.

They have raised just under $80,000 in a couple of days.

This is a help, but the Salvation Army offices in Santa Rosa and Napa need help and funding to handle the people evacuated.

We cleaned out Walmart’s styro cups and their large coffee cans and bought a fair supply of gift cards and got them to our local Salvation Army. That was their priority need yesterday afternoon,

Many of the so called charities were only accepting cash.

The Salvation Army was accepting everything except used clothing/blankets and cooked food or opened food.

While, we were there, a Chick fil A store owner from out of town brought in a pickup loaded with meals as a donation.

Young teens and their parents were helping to sort out the donations, freeing the Salvation Army people to do more critical things.
