We cleaned out Walmart’s styro cups and their large coffee cans and bought a fair supply of gift cards and got them to our local Salvation Army. That was their priority need yesterday afternoon,
Many of the so called charities were only accepting cash.
The Salvation Army was accepting everything except used clothing/blankets and cooked food or opened food.
While, we were there, a Chick fil A store owner from out of town brought in a pickup loaded with meals as a donation.
Young teens and their parents were helping to sort out the donations, freeing the Salvation Army people to do more critical things.
