Bull!

Americans are more resilient than this. Also more helpful as well as resourceful when needed. Firewood would instantly become bigtime collection and distribution trade. Food and medicine sharing programs for the disabled and sick. Street-level volunteer infrastructure repair groups will form.

People in cities, highly reliant on just-in-time supply chains for food and other necessities, would be toast.

Imagine New York City without electricity, natural gas, and running water.

Now imagine hordes of feral urbanites spreading out of the cities to take whatever they want.

Now imagine suburban and rural Americans’ response to that.

I think the problem is zero transportation, zero communication and zero electrical grid. We aren’t talking about hours, days or weeks, but likely to extend into months and maybe two or three years.

Pick out an area of western Washington, and one-third of Oregon’s west coast...then figure no movement. US Army would have to come into each region...likely pick up thousands per day and transport them out of the affected area. Lack of confidence with the authorities would start up, and civil strife would move on quickly.

If you had horses and bicycles...you might be able to move around. This EMP thing is a lot bigger than people think.

That data point must be the consensus of climate “scientists”.

And just how do you suggest ‘firewood’ be cut and transported? It takes a chain saw to cut - a year or two to dry (green wood doesn’t burn), an ax to split, and trucks to transport... You have NOT thought this one through...

How long can you go without clean running water?

All American water supplies rely on huge electric pumps to clean and distribute water through the system. Even people with wells required the electric pumps to pump the water out of the ground and into the house.

Millions would die in a very short period of time.

Less than a day, water is no longer coming out of the taps. Sewage is no longer leaving the house.

In three days every crumb of food is bought or looted from every store in town.

Less than two weeks every bit of perishable food is consumed.

Within a month everyone that relies on a monthly supply of life extending medication would have exhausted their supply.

Tens of Millions dead.

Look at the Nursing Home disaster in Florida.

Less than six months every bird, fish, deer, possum, dog, cat, horse, cow is slaughtered or hunted to exhaustion. Rats will be the meat source.

Casualties escalate on an exponential scale the longer it takes to fix the grid.

Remember, almost every car, truck and train would also be inoperable. Every factory would be unable to produce without electricity.
