Returning jihadis allowed back, not prosecuted ‘as not all are dangerous’ [to the UK]

The government’s terrorism watchdog has insisted that those who join ISIS abroad out of naivety shouldn’t be prosecuted when they return and indeed it seems as though hundreds already have come back.

Max Hill who is the independent reviewer of terrorism legislation has said: “That means that the authorities have looked at them and looked at them hard and have decided that they do not justify prosecution.

“Really we should be looking at reintegration and moving away from any notion that we are going to lose a generation from this.”

Hill followed up on Twitter, insisting that MI5/police don’t prosecute some returnees because “they assess not all are dangerous despite travel”.

Yet again this sends out a disgustingly weak message. Jihadi-supporting scumbags who have been abroad to support Islamic State should have their passports revoked and be left out there to rot. It only takes one of these returnees to come back as a hardened fighter with bad intentions to carry out a major terror atrocity. It simply isn’t worth risking public safety in this insane manner.

A couple of hundred committed Muslims, who believed it right to kill non-Muslims, is not a “generation”.

There is no such thing as “naivete” or excuses when it comes to jihad terrorism. No matter how they brought themselves to that point, they were willing to go across the world to kill for Allah and they are inherently dangerous.

Some wilfully misunderstand,

Because we're so good at identifying those types of radical Islamic extremist?) will come home and be heros to the current generation of children. Some will eventually figure out they can succeed in politics.

If the scions of ISIS are allowed to return to their western refuges and eventually tilt the country towards ISIS's view, doesn't that mean mission accomplished ISIS?

Just like the Euro, hasn't Axis vision of Europe succeeded anyway?

This signals that the UK is bowing down in front of their new masters. Wanna bet it becomes a crime to refuse to hire a returning jihadi? or to diss them for murdering and headchopping?

The UK has 4.1 years, at most, then it’s The United Califate of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
