Two police officers were injured while several protesters were arrested during a demonstration outside the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference in Center City Saturday afternoon.
A group of protesters, describing their demonstration as "Abolition Weekend," gathered on Arch and 12th streets near the Pennsylvania Convention Center around noon where the conference is taking place. On a Facebook page promoting the rally, organizers outlined the reason for the protest.
"The International Association Of Chiefs Of Police is coming to have their national convention in Philadelphia," they wrote. "However, we are clear of the damage that these individuals inflict on communities across our country. This weekend, we are standing up, saying no more, and laying the groundwork to abolish this corrupt system of policing we have in the United States."
The protesters carried signs that included the words, “No Good Cop in a Racist System,” “No War on the Poor,” “Abolish the Police,” and “IACP has love 4 Nazis.” They also repeatedly chanted, "If we don't get it, shut it down," and "No racist police. No justice no peace."

I’m up for a little experiment. Announce that for the next 6 months the Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit,Baltimore police will not enter any black or Hispanic majority neighbourhood, and will not respond to any call where the victim is identified as black or Hispanic. Let’s see how well they get along without the “racist cops”.
This is funny. I wish to invite those people to walk alone 20 blocks north at 10pm next Friday night to see how welcoming they are. North Philly and the Kensington folks will love you long time. Please especially stop off at needle park and 2nd and Indiana and say “I love you much”. I’m sure they’ll return the love real fast. Sheet it may even turn you into a conservative.
They are protesting Jeff Session, who’s attending the IACP.

And that should tell you something... the police in this country are a problem. When groups of diametrically opposed opinions share the same position on a singular issue such as the problems with LE these days. Then it’s safe to say both sides are right, the issue they share is indeed broken.
So many Freepers cannot nor will not believe that the police in this country are a problem. It’s sad really.
I would say that Libertarian Freepers, BLM, Antifa, and Anarchists are pretty close in ideology, not diametrically opposed.
