Waters: Trump Has a ‘Tendency to Talk Down to People of Color’
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 10/23/17 | Paul Crookston

Posted on 10/23/2017 5:29:09 PM PDT by markomalley

Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) Monday accused President Donald Trump of having a tendency to target women and people of color for his ire.

Waters spoke uninterrupted for almost four minutes on MSNBC’s "The Beat" about the Trump Administration’s handling of the aftermath of Army Sgt. La David Johnson’s death in Niger. She called on Trump and his Chief of Staff John Kelly to apologize to widow Myeshia Johnson and Rep. Frederica Wilson (D., Fla.), going on to criticize Trump’s disrespect for women and minorities in general.

"He seems to have this tendency to talk down to people of color, to treat them with disrespect, and I think this adds to it," Waters said. "First of all, he called [Wilson] wacky. Secondly, that he didn't back down, that he simply talked about her in a way that was not respectful—I think that yes, I think this adds to the suspicion of him and the way that he thinks about minorities and black people in particular."

She said Kelly was also wrong in her criticism of Wilson’s 2015 speech, and she said she had the backing of the Congressional Black Caucus in saying the Trump Administration needs to do more to respect black women.

"All of the women of the Congressional Black Caucus have come together and we're demanding an apology," she said. "We're sick and tired of women being undermined, dismissed, and black women, in particular, being called names."

Waters also criticized Trump’s overall leadership.

"He has the most distorted leadership of any president I've ever known or heard about," Waters said. "Here he had the opportunity to make the condolence call, to do it properly, to recognize this family and their grieving, and also to know the name of the soldier who had been killed."

"It is so unconscionable in the way that he manages his leadership," she added.

Waters also said Kelly’s credibility has been damaged.

"General Kelly has had a good career, and to have his career basically undermined by the president of the United States because he's trying to protect the president and stand up for the president when the president did not deserve to be stood up for, now he's damaged himself," Waters said. "He needs to call the congresswoman and apologize."

From what I’ve seen of the women in the CBC, it’s hard not to talk down to them. They are stupid, vain, and racist.

Oh my dear, he is not talking down to your particular shade of color. He is correctly speaking to you according to your ability to understand, correlate and synthesize language.

I do the same thing with my cats.

The difference is that cats are infinitely smarter than a Maxine Waters

Subconscious racism is probably what Mad Maxine is getting at. It’s the new thing among the SJWs. That even though Whitey may act with the best of intentions and THINK they aren’t racist, we need to be made aware of subtle things in our own personal mannerisms that are, maybe unknowingly rooted in past negative racial attitudes. Well, there’s ain’t a Chinaman’s chance of changing my subconscious mannerisms. :) Seriously, who will determine and identify these things, what are their credentials?

WHO WERE LYNCHING BLACKS? IT WAS THE DEMOCRATS/KKK

There were also lynchings, but not what you might think. According to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, between 1882 and 1964 an estimated 3,446 blacks and 1,279 whites were lynched at the hands of the Klan.

If you think you are a victim, you think everything everyone says is directed at beating you down. I don't know a single conservative that wouldn't help you help yourself if you asked.

But Liberal Democrats will tell you that they are the only answer to your problems.

People need to realize the somedays only you can help you. Not some Rodeo Clown Empty Barrel in Washington.

REPUBLICANS, The Party for ALL Americans

"The Secret Racist History of the Democratic Party"

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/05/the_secret_racist_history_of_the_democratic_party.html

Interestingly, Democrats have long ago erased these historic figures from our textbooks, only to offer deceitful propaganda and economic enticements in an effort to convince people, especially black Americans, that it’s the Democrats rather than Republicans who are the true saviors of civil liberties. Luckily, we can still venture back into America’s real historical record to find that facts are stubborn things. Let’s take a closer look.

An 1872 print by Currier and Ives depicts the first seven black Americans elected to the U.S. Congress during the Reconstruction period of 1865 to 1877-- and they’re all Republican!

ALL REPUBLICANS

He talks down people who act like fools.

It doesn’t matter what color they are.

John McCain, Rosey O’Donnell, Megyn Kelly...

I suppose this person thinks they’re all black.

“Is The Democratic Party Proud of its History of Slavery & Segregation?”

https://www.redstate.com/dan_mclaughlin/2014/09/13/democratic-party-proud-history-slavery-segregation/

At least four other Democratic presidents between then and the Civil War owned slaves, and the Democrats were the locus of national political support for slavery throughout that period.

The Civil War was launched by Democrats who refused to accept the election in 1860 of an anti-slavery Republican president, for a variety of reasons but mainly due to slavery.

Democrats reasserted control of Southern politics at the end of Reconstruction through a heavy application of terrorism by the Klu Klux Klan (in Mississippi in the 1870s, they basically murdered anyone suspected of voting Republican).

For nearly a century after that, the supporters of Jim Crow were uniformly lockstep Democrats, many of them progressives – Woodrow Wilson, the only former citizen of the Confederacy to serve as President and the first progressive Democrat, introduced segregation throughout the federal government, and Franklin Roosevelt regularly received as high as 95% of the vote in Southern states.

The 1924 Democratic Convention, in the race against the arch-conservative, pro-civil-rights reform Calvin Coolidge, was popularly known as the “Klanbake” for the heavy and vocal KKK presence; their nominee that year would go on to argue the losing, pro-segregation side in Brown v. Board of Education.

And that’s before we discuss the federal role in housing discrimination, instituted by a New Deal agency in the 1930s and finally undone by Republican Richard Nixon and his HUD secretary George Romney in the late 60s.

Or the Davis-Bacon Act… The politicians who fought for segregation in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s were uniformly Democrats like George Wallace (who won his last election in 1982, as a Democrat), Orval Faubus and Strom Thurmond (who left the Democrats when he gave up supporting segregation).
