As the days go by, he really is nothing more than a Senator on the take, one among dozens.

Along with a House full of maybe hundreds on the take.

Draining of the swamp continues apace.

This President is wonderful.

Braver than any of them. Better than Ronald Reagan. We must support him vigorously.

Amen. PRAY for President Trump!

He, and the nation, need our prayers. Only God can ultimately defeat this evil.

I am convinced that the rot of the Deep State is rooted in the spiritual realm.

And I think this is why a lot of people voted for Trump, both republican and democrat. He was already wealthy, so hopefully less susceptible to financial corruption. He was not a politician, and therefore less likely to already have a lot of dirt or any thoughts of future political aspirations which could be used to constrain or control him.

The bottom line is that The Swamp is so incredibly corrupt, so filled with people of low integrity, decency, and sense of honor or duty (to anyone but themselves), that only a complete outsider like Trump, and a very focused, driven and powerful person like Trump, could even begin to make a difference. The beauty of Trump is how he baits these people, and gets them to expose themselves for the despicable, self-serving, corrupt vermin that they are.

As someone else posted on another thread recently, you could draw 535 citizen's names at random, and have a much more honest, decent, trustworthy, intelligent, and respectable Congress than we have had in decades. It will be interesting to see where we are as a country in 20 years, what sort of politicians we have, etc. I wonder how much of a difference Trump can make. In just a couple of years as a candidate and President, Trump has already achieved an incredible amount in exposing the corruption of The Swamp - not that we didn't already know or suspect much of it, though I think a lot of people are shocked at just how bad it really is. He has also helped to draw out and expose the corrupt media (again, many of us knew how biased and deceptive the media was, but I think a lot more people have become aware of it now as well).

I can't help but wonder if the country just saved itself by electing Trump (much as it saved itself by electing Reagan after Carter). It is hard to imagine how much further down the drain a President Hillary would have taken us. Are we out of the woods? Hardly. But at least I have a bit more hope that things might change for the better. If nothing else, seeing vermin like McCain, Corker, and Flake exposed for what they really are, has been a pleasure.
