That’s odd... I find that many people in their 80s and even 90s are great to be around; some are fascinating fonts of information or stories; some are steady, observant and wise; some are endowed with a terrific sense of humor; some have the heart of a lion and bear up in the face of pain; some are still able to work younger people into the ground; and some are bubbling with creativity. There’s always the occasional constant complainer [usually from the northeast], but in my experience most of the elderly are fine friends, even the ones with dementia, until their impatient families start treating them like they are infants and begin whispering behind their back.

We profoundly disagree. I think every oerson has thoughts they suppress and don’t act on, words they don’t say, actions they don’t take. When age and deterioration works on the minds of some, it affects the control center, sometimes even obliterating it.

Old ninety year old, Jimmy Carter stands out among all these loser POTUSs as the man, while flawed, loved his nation and all its people!!! Amen!!!
How so? Lester Maddox, the best GA governor of the generation, said that Carter was "the most dishonest man I ever met." Of course, Goldwater said the same of Mr. Nixon, whom Goldwater supported five times if one counts the vice presidency.

Well, yea, GHWB was among many titles “a Rodney King Republican” who just wanted everybody to “get along” with the liberal state setting the rules.
