Complete Headline: Dallas police were WARNED Lee Harvey Oswald would be murdered by a 'committee' - but still sent him to his death, infuriating FBI head J Edgar Hoover, newly released JFK documents reveal

The murder of Lee Harvey Oswald could have been prevented after the FBI were warned of his impending death - but Dallas police failed to protect him, it has emerged.

Nearly 3,000 documents related to JFK's shooting have been declassified by The White House, among them remarks made by then-FBI boss J Edgar Hoover the day Oswald died.

According to Hoover, the FBI were contacted by a man who said a 'committee' was plotting to kill Oswald, who had been arrested for killing the president; the feds then told police in Dallas to protect the presidential assassin.

Instead, Oswald was walked out in front of a crowd, cameras - and local nightclub owner Jack Ruby, who marched out and shot him dead.

My money is still on LBJ or the Mob. For the Mob they were mad Kennedy cancelled Castro’s overthrow. They wanted their casinos back.

The only reason Ruby was able to shoot Oswald, was because Oswald wanted a different shirt and it delayed his transfer for about an hour.

Had the Dallas PD told him to wear the shirt he had, Ruby would have showed up after Oswald was gone.

There is some fairly convincing photographic and video evidence that LBJ, who was a couple of cars behind JFK, ducked down in his limousine as the presidential limo turned left on Elm Street and headed into Dealy Plaza.

was because Oswald wanted a different shirt and it delayed his transfer for about an hour.

It is tradition to give a condemned man a last request. He wanted to die in a different shirt by gum. And so he did.

I was in the 3rd grade and heard the radio over the intercom. I knew it was LBJ and I was just s kid. Had images of LBJ hiding behind the bushes with a 38 special.

I heard a pundit say that this evidence release and its lack of quality just proves that the government was too inept to have carried out JFK’s assasination.

Oswald himself told everyone exactly why he was there.

“I’m just the patsy.”

How could anyone know that a guy like Ruby would be granted access? This killing was the last thing the Dallas police department wanted.

Ruby was known to officers who frequented his club.

S happens.

That officer on the left in the beige suit was the one who arrested Oswald at the theater. He would have been seriously wounded, but he had the quick thought to shove the web of his thumb in between the firing pin of Oswald’s gun, and the round. The gun didn’t fire.

What a photo! Amazing...

Oswald was a known Castro sympathizer. When he found out the motorcade route would pass right by the Texas School Depository Bldg he put his little murderous plan into action.
He also killed officer JD Tippett that afternoon too. Some ‘patsy’ but a lying, murderous, loser commie bastard that he was.

Quid pro quo? perhaps.

Altho the CIA has enough of a shady side to it to make some wonder ‘what of that black hole of governence?’ and those who work behind the scenes, sometimes alone,, sometimes as a team.. and then , who do they really work for,, I give you our modern day state department of the last 25 years.. where the odds are longer there than at casinos that we will ever get the true story, who and why.

Glad Trump is saying he’ll dump as much as he can but not before the CIA and other agencies ‘edit’ it some more.

Where’s Sandy Burglar when ya need him? Oh wait.. rip.
