If it were possible to appeal the leftist sense of honor and dignity; this might do some good.
By now everyone knows leftists have no honor or dignity to appeal to though.
They can’t feel shame or guilt. They can only feel loss and they really hate to lose. After a year they are still crying like little girls who had their Barbie and/or Ken dolls taken away.

This was about the point in which the entire thrust of the hearings began to completely collapse.
Yet Joe McCarthy was much more correct than any of us knew, then or even today. There WERE Communists infiltrated all through the State Department and the Department of the Army. Fred Fisher was the person about whom these remarks were addressed on the part of, an he proved to be a NOTORIOUS Communist, a member of the Lawyers Guild, which made the ACLU look like the John Birch Society.
The Deep State has been around a lot longer than anyone on the Left would be willing to admit. Yet the “decency” they demand is never reciprocated.
They also have zero sense of humor. They can be sent off on intellectual tirades and tangents by the simple use of simple puns.
