I do give blood to the Red Cross, they are pretty much the only game in town here, and people do need blood. I figure they are making tons o’ cash from blood donations.
As for cash donations, I have given to relief via my Church synod and Salvation Army.
Gary! PLEASE find another way to give blood. Check your local hospital! They’d LOVE to have your blood without the BS Middle Man of the Red Cross. See if there’s a plasma bank, too.
And if for some reason you can’t use another facility/organization, keep it for yourself!

Red Cross charges people for blood. Also they trash blood if they can’t find immediate use. They won’t freeze. They won’t give to universities for research
