NEWBURYPORT, MA (WFXT/CNN) – Parents in Massachusetts are outraged after their high school students were asked to solve a math problem about 9/11.
A problem asking students to determine how long United Flight 175 was in the air before hitting the World Trade Center appeared on algebra homework at Newburyport High School.
"Thinking about something so sad with everything else going on in the world, I don't think it was the right thing to do,” grandparent Carol Bogard said.
Parents say there’s no excuse for the inappropriate question or how it was worded.

If the crowd grows at 5% per minute how many people will be beating the teacher up after 10 minutes? Extra credit: how long before no more can actually strike a blow? Please show your work.

B) Puts pen to paper to write it down
C) Hands it out to their students
while all along the way, no small morsel of conscience pipes up to say “that would be wrong”.

I was three when WWII ended. When I was around five, I remember thinking that Hitler was another name for the devil. Evidently they discussed it enough. LOL
My first real worry was atomic attack, and I think that all came from grade school.

Controversy over nothing. Get over it. Are some people such frail snowflakes that they can’t be reminded of the murder by 19 muzzies? Or do all good liberals sweep all memories of 9/11 under the rug?
I would not have used that as an example, but it isn’t bad.
Now if they had asked:
If one muzzy can blow up one school bus in 5 minutes, how long would it take for 5 muzzies to blow up 25 buses? Now that would be “offensive.”
