WASHINGTON — President Trump is not a favorite in the extended Bush household. Former President George Bush considers him a “blowhard,” only interested in feeding his own ego. Former President George W. Bush, his son, thinks Mr. Trump fans public anger and came to office without any understanding of the job.

And both worry that Mr. Trump has blown up a Republican Party that they spent two lifetimes building, a party that was once committed to removing boundaries to trade and immigration, promoting democracy and civil society and asserting a robust American leadership role in the world, according to an author who has interviewed them.

It needs blowing up because collectively because it hasn’t been representing its voters and supporters for decades.

The Bushes blew it up when they decided not to listen to the common folk, but instead rule by coronation.

That was the plan when Americans elected him. Trump said he wanted to “Make America Great Again”.

“It needs blowing up because collectively it hasn’t been representing its voters and supporters for decades.”

Short, to the point, and absolutely accurate. Thank you.

Yep, I read this, and wonder, would it be a bad thing to see today’s Republican party torn up?

sometimes I ask rhetorically, how it is, that Hillary and liberals, being so superior (in their own minds), could have lost an election to Trump.

I would use the same reasoning here, that regarding the GOP, how is it, that 16 or 17 career politicians representing the GOP in primaries, were all defeated by Trump? If they are so superior and their GOPe credentials so sterling, how is it that Trump was able to plow through and gain the nomination of a party which didn’t want him, which is what they are trying to say, isn’t it?

Not to worry, Bushies.

It's time you RINOs in the Democrat wing of the Republican party return to your home in the actual Democrat party.

Coming from Bush 41 and 43, who both left the GOP in worst condition than when they became president.

The Bush family simply cannot relate to an average person in an average town or city. Reagan and Trump can. That is why the GOPe is mad.

The President is upgrading and refining the GOP, making into a party more responsive to the people.

Now Obama took a left leaning DNC and changed it into a full blown socialist party in eight years.

a party that was once committed to removing boundaries to trade and immigration

My family has been Republican since before the worthless Bush family knew what the word meant and I can safely say NONE of us were in favor of mass Third World immigration into modern America.

Both Bush's always hid their preference for Mexico and China and claimed that free trade with those countries would keep them at home, which was BS and they knew it.

The Bush's are Traitors with a capitol T. They resent the fact that people won't vote them into the power they think they deserve and so they look to a different populace to give them support just like the Rat party.

Trump is the best damn thing to happen to the Republican Party in 40 years. Bush the Elder was the wimp who undermined everything Reagan did, and said the same damn things about Ronald Reagan in 1979.

Demolition must take place before sound reconstruction and modernization can take place. I thank God for using President Trump to destroy and demolish the new world order GOPE swamp.
