Mark Milley began considering the possibility of bringing back the iconic two-tone uniform of the "greatest generation" for soldiers to wear as an everyday office uniform earlier this year.

Big improvement over the current uniform and definitely over the old Class A's. Takes them forever, however, as this evolution has been going on for at least a year.

Anything will be better than the mailman-meets-TSA monstrosity they cooked up a while back.

Waist belt? IKE jacket? Looking like the greatest generation does not make you one. But its a nice tribute.

I would like to see a return of the From Here to Eternity summer khakis. Always thought they were a really sharp looking uniform.

How about getting back to awards, ribbons, and insignia that matter.

Everyone in the military looks like they won the war all by themselves they are so decorated.

I have to admit, when I read the title about “Pinks” and uniforms for army soldiers, I thought this would be something else entirely.

I have some relatives who served during WWI, and I saw many a photo of them in different uniforms. I have to agree that the summer uniforms were pretty sharp.

I agree. I had a set of poplins, while serving in Germany (66-67). Had them tailored to the Max.

Same here. Thought it was going to be that pink and green camo.

I liked the Army uniforms in the movie “From Here to Eternity.” I loved those campaign hats.

Okay... was worried, there. I like ‘em. Don’t know what they have to do with pink. They look sharp.

Every time I see the pinks and greens uniform I think of B-17’s, B-24’s and the 8th Air Force.
