Yes yes, a point I meant to make but probably forgot to was these would certainty be seats Shillery carried.

If they were up a year ago they would have been lost then instead of now.

Yes it was bad to not hold on to a few more, beat the friggin tranny at least, very painful for the people of VA. But it’s not a great shock that these now lib-leaning districts have starting sending rats to Richmond. Ticket splitting is on the way out, it was great that the GOP was able to win these seats 2 and 4 years ago but obviously that has changed.

And if we can pull 51-49 out the fire, that’s a good thing. Set the stage for some mild gains in 2019 perhaps.

This was a stinking election, as an urban dweller I find the spate of Mayoral losses particularly disappointing but also not a shock, did Donald Trump win any of these cities?

So then is it a huge disaster? I can’t say that. I didn’t see the rats cutting into much GOP territory. I don’t see how Claire McCaskil and Joe Manchin should be breathing easier because rats gained some state leg seats that Shillery won easily. Only US House seat I’m now worried about because of this is Babs Comstock’s in NOVA.

So it was bad, ok quite bad. But should we shake in fear at Pelosi’s inevitable coronation? I say chillax to that and take a breath. Angry people are the ones who turnout to vote, that’s why Prez’s party usually loses in midterms. We need to be as MAD as we were in 2010 and 2014, ANGRY but not downhearted. 2006 happened cause conservatives decided to cry in their beer instead of voting.

What’s troubling to me is watching the rise of the suburban leftist voter. Used to be that folks left the corrupt urban Democrat machines behind to vote Republican once ensconced in the suburbs, and often carried the vote to rapidly developing areas of the country starting in the 1950s (to AZ, CA, FL, and yes, VA). It was almost a given they tended to provide the margins needed for statewide elections (as in the south, the rural areas tended to remain ancestrally Democrat, with a few exceptions, until as recently as the past decade).

When VA finally flipped to the GOP in the late ‘90s, it was expected that realignment would hold for a long time to come (made up of the wealthy to middle class suburbs and an increasing number of more modest rural areas, all aligned against urban districts, which increasingly moved leftward). But there were cracks starting to show.

The 1950s and ‘60s were where NoVA (including Alexandria and Arlington) turned to the GOP. The Watergate elections moved it back to the Dems for a short time, though by 1980, moved back to the GOP (both Alexandria and Arlington voted for Reagan by pluralities, down from Nixon’s win of 56% and 59% in each.). But the close-in suburbs just started to move away bit by bit (in 1984, Mondale carried both, though Reagan actually improved his numbers from ‘80) and by 1990, they tossed out the 8th Dist. Congressman, Stan Parris (who first won in 1972, lost in ‘74, and made a comeback in 1980) for the innermost suburbs in favor of vile and violent leftists like Jim Moran.

For a brief time, it was thought this was just a fluke and the seat could be recovered, but after 1992 and 1994 passed giving Moran a challenge (with the Republican nominee performing worse in ‘94 instead of better), it was becoming apparent those innermost areas had gone the proverbial “full retard” and are now utterly radicalized.

Watching that wall of Commie Red (sorry, kids, I ain’t using the newspeak Blue, which pisses me off) spread like a cancer outward from Washington, past Fairfax and out all the way to the ‘burbs of Winchester at I-81, that is some scary $hit. Even when they were electing Democrats some decades back, these were rural center-right types, not total crazies who chop off their franks and beans. The old Byrd Democrats (Harry, that is, not the Klansman leftist from WV) would have thought the Soviets had taken over the party with utter degenerates emptied out of nervous hospitals. They’d be right.

It’s like the same red Commie cancer metastasize in California, the Philadelphia and the Chicagoland suburbs since the 1980s. If the now-radicalized suburbs unite with the urban areas, they will be able to simply outvote the sane moral voters of the rural areas and exurbs. The rich leftist ‘burbs will be able to insulate themselves and live in a fantasy bubble from the rest of humanity whose sick agenda we cannot escape to (as non-rich), such as willfully supporting flooding the country with illegals and Mohammadans and the crime and horror that comes with both of them.

I used to believe these wealthy and college-educated individuals had the common sense and reason to prevent our nation from following these sick and diseased agendii of the left, but to watch them pick up the baton to champion it has left the rest of us nigh defenseless. If this Marxist agenda is what THEY want, let’s give it to them and drain their bank accounts (and investment plans, et al) dry with epic-level confiscatory taxation. Make them pay off the debt of the party that helped push us to over $20 trillion in the red (with perhaps ten times that in unfunded liabilities).

How’s about 100% tax on everything about $100k ? Strip ‘em of their fancy homes and possessions to pony up for their Socialist dream state. Force the *uckers to live back in middle or working class land next to the folks they seem to want to flood the country with, but wouldn’t DARE dream of living next to. Let’s see how long they put up with marauding, thieving, raping and murdering illegals (like I’ve had to in my neighborhood since Clinton/GW Bush) or the Mohammadan rapeugee “children” who claim to be 8 or 9 when they’re actually 25 or 30. I hope their daughters and young sons enjoy being on the receiving end of their “love.”

As with anything, always be careful what you ask for or vote for, because you certainly will get it, and those radicalized voters are the most deserving of the hell they’ve unleashed, but have yet to suffer the consequences for.

WTF? The Democrat supposedly won by 1 vote in a recount and House Republicans aren’t going to contest it? NO WAY should they seat that usurper.
