"We may soon learn he has been misjudged and owe him a big apology.” I didn’t misjudge sh!t. Sessions is responsible for LEGITIMIZING the swamp’s ‘russian collusion’ bs by his recusal & then holding hearings on the matter. A matter that had no merit nor any evidence of a crime. That didn’t matter to the beady-eyed, deep-state compromised rat bastard, Sessions...He recused himself. HIS DAG, a corrupt obama stooge, appointed a special counsel to investigate Trump. Amazing how Rosenstein and Mueller could find their way back into power at the DOJ. Not just in power, defacto AGs. Staggering, innit? The damage this ahole, Sessions, has done to the Trump admin’s momentum and future success is incalculable. The swamp picked the ‘right’ man. *spit*"

What he said.

Sessions needs to be fired and if he keeps this up he needs to be fired then investigated for being part of the coverup. He is protecting the clintons and the obama admin, I have no idea why but it's obvious what he is doing.

"We may soon learn he has been misjudged and owe him a big apology. And this, my Fellow Freepers, is a perfect example of Battered Wives Syndrome. "Maybe this time he means it. Maybe he loves me and will stop hitting me." "

I totally agree. I don't know where this delusion comes from. Sessions is not playing 3d chess and is not secretly working on anything other than how to keep making excuses for not doing his job.

"The other more important observance is just ask why, if he is so detrimental to the MAGA agenda, why does the boss keep him there?"

I think the answer to that became clear today. The President is trying to get the tax bill through and needs it to happen now. If he fires Sessions the tax bill may never happen. The President needs a bit legislative win before he can fire Sessions. That being said Sessions is going to be gone immediately after the tax bill is signed.

Senator Grassley is chief of the Senate Judiciary Committee, so with all respect to you, I’ll take his bonafides over anyone on this board in these matters.

He has requested that a new and separate special counsel to be setup to investigate possible if not apparent crimes by Hillary Clinton, if not others in the Obama administration.

He is calling for a new and separate special counsel because the current special counsel is being supervised by Rosenstein, and led by Mueller, both of which are suspected of covering up the exact crimes that Grassley and others want re-investigated.

Sessions’ response while testifying before Grassley’s committee is that he himself is recused, so he is leaving that decision completely up to Rosemstein. Grassley asked even in light of the obvious conflict of interest that Rosenstein has? Sessions said yes, it is Rosenstein’s decision.

I had always been a Sessions supporter, but this gave me a huge red flag when it happened a couple of weeks ago. Since that time, several more things have happened that indicate that Sessions is a fool, at best. I am not alone, as the President is constantly calling him and the DoJ out as well.

Ethics aside, Sessions appears to have horrible judgement by delegating everything to Rosenstein and Mueller who are worthy of investigations themselves . And if it turns out that Rosenstein and Mueller are guilty of past crimes, yet were allowed to lead this witch hunt against Trump, Sessions may need to be investigated as well.

Believe what you want. I simply think most are falling for political grandstanding and smokescreens. I suspect Sen Grassley knows exactly what is happening and is helping to maintain op—sec, but that’s me. That’s how I read the tea leaves. I refuse to believe nothing is being done

It’s pretty obvious they’re doing nothing. During his testimony esterday it also came out that the DoJ had ignored a Congressional request for charges against Lois Lerner be presented to a grand jury. Per the Congressman, the way that was requested the DoJ is obligated to comply by matter of law. Sessions wouldn’t even agree to do anything about that issue, either.

Re: Also left out Michael Flynn

Hmmm - he's the first name on my list.

Re: You left out Sebastian Gorka

Yes. I figured most people would not know him unless they see him on Fox News.

Re: The ultimate responsibility to prosecute this criminal lies with Trump and nobody else.

I completely agree.

Trump is the Chief Executive Officer of the federal government.

The ultimate responsibility for ALL top level personnel decisions and for ALL top level policy decisions belongs only to Trump.
