Nursing homes, for the most part, are the last stop before the grave which usually are rather short stays.
And most people continue to believe this type of behavior doesn’t signify anything.

I’m not sure you do CPR when someone is having breathing problems.
The nurses probably would say they need some humor because they are around death all the time. They have become insensitive to death. And these particular nurses are in Scripture: “the love of many shall wax cold.”
May the two nurses ROT in HELL, begging for water!!!
What the hell are they doing giving a 89 year old frail man CPR? Break his sternum, puncture his lungs and cause painful death.
The man doesn’t have a DNR?
Poor soul needs more 02 to be comfortable, and perhaps medication. But not CPR!

Nurse aides in most nursing home facilities are HS dropouts. How do I know? .... well, I was in a nursing facility and several of the CNAs were my former students. Students who did not graduate HS. They went and got a GED and some fly-by-night *training*. For they most part, they are not nice people.
Nursing homes are dreadful, dreadful places. Families place their loved ones in them, believing that the patient is getting good care; care the family can not do themselves, for whatever reason.
Affirmative action hires in action treating a white veteran.
