I followed a link that took me to a “top new bands to watch” article at rolling stoned mag.
8 of the 10 were Rap and Hip Hop.
They could call it the 30 Year Old Granny Award....

I wish they would re record bIg band music in High Fidelity. I have Harry James in HI Fi, but would like some others like Artie Shaw’s music from the 1930s. There was one recording of Frenesi in high fidelit in the exact arrangement as the original. It was transcendant. Every instrument was audible.
I don’t care but if I did I would have to assume this all because it’s no longer cool to give awards to White people.

This u-toob video explains it pretty well. Auto-tune is an electronic pitch correction. It can make poor singers sound on pitch. Used incorrectly it can also make you sound like a robot.

I like your term “Caucasian”. It reminds me of my early school years when I was taught there were only 3 major races, Caucasian, Negro and Asian.

It’s just another racial power play, not at all unlike the NFL, by people who think they’ll always be highly paid and famous, because they’ve tapped into the magical “stash.” They have absolutely no clue that they’re killing their own future incomes by pulling this crap. Why Jay-Z has so much so-called cred has always amazed me, seeing as how his core customer is white teenage boys. He’s the Pied Piper to wiggers that Eminem tried and failed to be.
It corrects singing off key or out of tune hence the name autotune. Used to excess it becomes very detectable and electronic. I can’t stand it, the singer’s voices pick up a high-pitched edge and it sounds very fake to me.
We even have ‘TRANS-RACIALS’ like Shaun King and Rachel Dolezal and NOW: Ja Du!......................
