I live in Gulf Shores, Alabama, but I am from Birmingham where I grew up. I have season tickets to UAB football. So I drive up for the games. The last game was over Thanksgiving weekend, so we also took a trip to Gadsden to visit relatives. If the number of yards signs is an indication of votes, then Doug Jones will win this race. My old neighborhood in Vestavia had Doug Jones signs. There are a few down here in Gulf Shores. Saw a bunch in Southside, Birmingham, and plenty in Gadsden and two in Glencoe. Roy Moore signs were few and far between. He better change his campaign strategy, or he will lose.

It was once said that an opposing general would rather his enemy have an extra 10,000 men in support, than them have the single figure of Napoleon.

Having Trump on your side is of similar worth today.

“Leigh Corfman, Roy Moore Accuser, retained a law firm, before WP obtained their “scoop”. The firm is headed by Edgar Gentle who happens to also be the Treasurer for the Alabama Democrat Party. 100% political hit job. There’s your answer who gave them “victims”.

(By the way, I looked this up and it’s true that the firm representing Corfman is headed by the Alabama Democrat Party treasurer.)

I consider Cromwell the first Republican and one of history’s greatest heroes. Despite all the revisionist history that tries to paint him as villain. Trying to find an unbiased account of him is near impossible.

Hmm...from the Daily Beast article, dramatis personae:

a new outside spender has popped up in the Alabama Senate race. The group is called Highway 31, and not much is known about it beyond its leader, Adam Muhlendorf, an Alabama media consultant...

Highway 31 officially formed on Nov. 6. In the weeks since, it’s spent more than $1.3 million attacking Moore and boosting Jones, making the super PAC by far the biggest outside spender of the general election contest. Most of its expenditures have been routed through prominent D.C. Democratic consultancies such as Bully Pulpit Interactive and Waterfront Strategies.

More than twice Moore's money in three weeks and it came through a single PAC and was routed through DC. The establishment either has money to burn - they don't - or they're getting desperate - they are - watching the thing slip away from them.

You are so correct.

These were crucial pivot points to the genesis of the birth of the United States, and the Constitutional liberty which has given us everything.

Even while again divisive, another decisive and huge pivot point, which I believe led directly to the formation of Parliamentary Government was when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the door in Wittenberg.

It is nearly impossible to read anything which does not condemn Cromwell today, on either side of the Atlantic!

Secular Humanistic Revisionists have ruled over our education system for over two generations, and it shows, and we will pay the price.

I have had to argue with academics who absolutely, and with religious militancy hate Cromwell.

Of course this makes sense, in that Cromwell stood for representative government, what was right, what was moral, what was just, and for individual responsibility and the subsequent sum of liberty. Each being anathema to those who seek the total elimination of moral boundaries, and seek the subjugation of society to totalitarianism, with themselves in control.

It has become so bad, I have had to explain why there is an empty seat in British Parliament, and why the Royal Scepter lays in the middle of the same place.

Ironically, the very power the socialists crave in Parliament today, is only there because of a Puritan general, who loved God, justice, and the liberty which can only exist where true morality and justice exist!

The same is absolutely true on or side of the Atlantic!

Still a lot of Royalists in Canada and Britain, who, for that reason hate Cromwell. But if the Monarchy was so great, why did they have to jettison it and bring in the puppet heads from the Netherlands? (William of Orange). Oh, and I forgot the hatred Anglicans had for a Puritan Cromwell. Those that had no problem with a Church-State monolith simply because it didn't go around closing theaters. The Cavaliers, IMHO, were essentially the progressives of that era.

Interesting isn’t it!

“The Cavaliers, IMHO, were essentially the progressives of that era.”

Underneath the revisionist rhetoric and hatred for Cromwell, it becomes crystal clear, even in Cromwell’s time, no persons morality could be separated from their decisions and lifestyles, and who they sequentially supported or fought for politically.

The same is absolutely true today!

The desire to eliminate all moral boundaries and for total uncontrolled self gratification, motivates and dictates peoples left wing political identification and often religiously militant efforts! Efforts to overturn and eliminate morality and our legal system rooted in our US Constitution!

Todays progressives are at war with our derivative parliamentary form of government, rooted in our US Constitution, which (largely because of puritans) starts out with the premise our liberty is inherited from God.

Hence the reason they are at war with our Constitution.

They are so at war with God and our derivative liberty etched in our constitutional representative governance, the progressive (leftists) would rather subjugate all of society to a monolithic centralized authoritarian/totalitarian government!

The parallels should smack a person in the face.

Its a bit ironic, todays secular humanist-socialist-progressives really are at war with the very system of liberty they are exploiting to eliminate liberty, in an effort to subjugate and enslave us all!
