Boy, if that was supposed to come across as absurd humor, it failed, big time. Garrison Keillor was occasionally funny when I heard his show in the 80s and 90s. Me and my conservative high school and college friends thought the show was a bit entertaining at times, then we realized how weird and twisted and limousine liberal it got, and finally just shrugged it off. All those retarded musicians he had on was the first time I realized I actually hated his show except for the teeny bits of intellectual humor that peppered the show. This is first time I’ve seen his name or heard of him in about 20 years now.
I remember when I was in college and tried to read William Faulkner, that was tough reading also along with James Joyce.

The interview where Lauer arrogantly patronizes O’Reilly for his women problems is LOL hilarious today. Heard it on the radio and nearly started crying with laughter.
Sad...I subscribed to the trib for over 25 years (even when I lived out of the area). It was my parents’ paper of choice—it was conservative—the Sun Times was considered liberal.
When Trib endorsed Obama, I quit for good!
