Anglican Minister Urges Prayers for Prince George to Be Gay
NY Slimes ^ | 12/1/17 | Alan Cowell

A prominent Anglican cleric and gay rights campaigner known for contentious gestures has urged believers to pray for Prince George — age 4, and third in line to the throne — to find the love “of a fine young gentleman” when he grows up so as to advance the cause of same-sex marriage in church.

Coming just days after Prince Harry — George’s uncle, and fifth in line — announced his engagement to Meghan Markle, a divorced American actress, the suggestion by the Very Rev. Kelvin Holdsworth seemed to illuminate once more the role of royal romance in Britain’s imagination and conversation, especially when it collides with tradition.

I am currently studying the books of Samuel. Western civilization reminds me very much of Israel in the early days of the book.

God is indeed at work, but the population is lost. The priests, sons of Eli--Hophni and Phineas--do not even know Yahweh. They use the ark of God as a good luck charm in their battles, but they don't know Him or have regard for his law. They steal from the coffers of the church and make prostitutes of women.

Slowly, quietly, God advances and does what he wants. But we are like the time of the judges--which is the time in which Samuel was born--men in this day are doing "whatever seems best" to them. And the leadership of God's people (see: this Anglican priest, for instance) is waning.

Pray for revival.

God moved the election last year. Let us not rest on our laurels, though. Don't make Scripture an amulet or a rabbit's foot. Turn our hearts and minds back to Him with sincerity.

This kind of news is distressing, but it is not the end of the story.

Who is he addressing the prayer to? Satan, I assume.

Empty blasphemous prayers. A conscience seared.

Prayers for his safety and may anyone grooming him to be so be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied to them.

Someone needs to make sure that this cleric doesn’t have access to four-year-old boys.

What do you expect from a “religion” expressly created and sole reason for existence was so an adulterous king could get an annulment of his valid marriage?

A religion founded on the principles of expediency, convenience, and cowardice.

Why not go all the way to praying that he become a Muslim truck bomber and blow up Westminster Abbey?

Something tells me that this minister would be very interested personally in that happening.

"Western civilization reminds me very much of Israel in the early days of the book."

It reminds me even more of Judah in the times of King Manasseh. See 2 Kings 21.9

“Protestantism was not start by the church of England.”

I didn’t say it was. But the anglican church is part of the church of England which was founded by Henry VIII so he could get his marriage annulled.

“The Church of England (C of E) is the state church of England. The Archbishop of Canterbury (currently Justin Welby) is the most senior cleric, although the monarch is the supreme governor. The Church of England is also the mother church of the international Anglican Communion.”
