Right; no spending should ever be cut. The country is too far left to do without SS.
Heck, the tax bill is or was going to cut the state and local tax write off and people panicked. It certainly will cost them more but it was hiding the real problem — massively high taxes in some states. States that tend to be liberal — CA, NY, NJ, etc. etc.
