WASHINGTON—U.S. Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) released the following statement on legislation announced by U.S. Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA):
“Neither Senator Cornyn nor Senator Grassley has ever voted for the Dream Act. This proposal, as I have told them personally, cannot be considered a good faith effort to provide protection for the Dreamers, including those who were enrolled in DACA.
The laundry list of unrelated immigration bills which they have offered is designed to delay and stop any serious bipartisan effort to solve this crisis created by the Trump Administration on September 5th.
I will continue my efforts to reach a bipartisan agreement to pass the Dream Act.”
It has been three months since the Trump Administration announced it was terminating DACA and called for Congress to come up with a legislative solution. More than 10,000 Dreamers have already lost their DACA status, and beginning early next year, 1,000 additional young people will lose this protection each day.

So just to be clear, Durbin opposes any bill authored by someone who didn’t vote for the Dream Act. Great bi-partisanship there. Vote with us on our crappy bill to make it bi partisan.
The Trump administration is our homeland’s last hope to avoid death by third-world replacement. If we get Amnesty instead of immigration reduction, kiss the USA goodbye.

Ah Dick’s upset
Dick Disturbin has an odd take on what constitutes “American” and what does not. Of course these “orphans of the storm” have absolutely NO cultural ties to the country in which they were born, were they raised by wolves? They all spoke the language of their native country long before they spoke English, and both Mama and Papa could recite tales of “the old country” with enough veracity and nostalgia, that a considerable fraction of the cultural continuity was instilled into the children.
The fact is, these DACA kids simply do not have that much cultural affinity for the United States in many instances, and if they do, let them earn a slot by which they may become immigrants with the intention of becoming citizens, by the same steps that all their countrymen must do.
But first, they go back to “the old country”, unless Congress may succeed in passing a special and LIMITED amnesty just specifically for this particular demographic, NOT to include others outside the immediate family.

DACA is crap. How about doing things for AMERICANS first? Like Obamacare, like tax cuts, like BUILD THE DAMNED WALL. When all that is done, maybe think about what to do about Mexican citizens living here illegally.
